Great filter!
I'm really impressed with the quality of construction of this unit. Well made and solid. I'm on a private well, and this really helped with sediment and staining. The water tastes great and "feels" softer. Easy to install if you are familiar with plumbing and working with copper or steel pipe or PVC, as the case may be. It's heavy though, so have someone with you to help when mounting to the wall. I live by myself and the sediment filter lasted 6 months before I noticed a pressure drop and decided to change it. The other two filters are still going strong, but I figure I will need to change them all in another 6 months. Two points of advice...When changing a filter, you WILL spill water, so take that into account when mounting it. The other is in regards to the gauges. They work well for showing a pressure drop due to a filter needing to be changed, but be aware that the water needs to be flowing in order to see good results. With all water shut off, the pressures will equalize and all will basically read your input water pressure. When I installed mine I also added a pressure gauge at the input and output lines, which also helps. Customer service is great with no long hold times. I had a problem with one of the filters when I installed my system. After explaining the situation to them, they sent me a new complete set of filters right away, no hassles, no charges...

Great System!..use blue monster thread tape and tighten those housings!
We have been using this for around a month now and we can definitely tell a difference in water quality. We live in one of the worst areas for scale and water hardness and this seems to be working pretty well as my wife has already made comments about her hair being much more manageable after showers. Don't expect this to completely replace a softener, as this won't give you a slick/slimy feel in the shower (good thing imo), but it definitely does the job it is intended to do this far. I can't comment on taste as much as we have a reverse osmosis system as well and use that for drinking, but it's nice to have better faucet water to use for cooking, washing, etc. And knowing our appliances will last longer is good too. Install was a breeze for the most part. I used sharkbite slip connections made specifically for water filters which I highly recommend! Fit perfectly, but I did use the recommended Blue Monster thread tape and pipe dope on inlet/outlet. I stepped up from 3/4" copper to 1" PEX for the rest of the system since I had concerns about the ID of the 3/4" PEX constricting flow and so far it is working perfectly. The only problem I've had is a tiny drip from the PHO filter and the Carbon filter housing that was probably my fault since I didn't re-tighten the housings after checking the filters were shipped properly installed within (they were). After a month of use, I'm surprised at how nasty the 1st pre-sediment filter has gotten! We have city water, but you really don't realize how much gets through until you see the filter go from pristine white to tan really quickly! Only thing I would suggest Express Water add to kit is a small tube of silicone based lubricant for the O-rings as none is included and would be nice to have on-hand...other than that, great system that will hopefully last for years to come!

Hands down best filtration system for the money!!!
After debating on getting a water filtration system for our house and reading tons of reviews we went with this one. I wish I had taken a picture of before on the water test but had only limited time to test and start to install the system. The before the water was had an oder (like most well water does) taste wasn't that great and left iron rings in the tub's, sinks and toilets. Now on to the good stuff. The system came completely assembled in the stainless steel frame which is a big plus. The gauges were already installed, filters, housings ect.. all your left to get is the fittings and plumbing materials..Let me make a strong suggestion use the shark bite fittings and PEX tubing, yes it's a little bit more but will allow for some flexibility and way easier servicing in the long run. After everything was installed and hooked up I turned on the main valve going to the house slowly and then let it start filling the filters up. Once you start seeing water press the relief buttons on top to keep it from air locking and to help fill fast. Once everything was done and bleed the whole house I already noticed a difference later that evening. Fast forward to now 3 weeks now and WOW!! What a difference we can drink the water now closes smell better and no more rings in the toilet, tubs and showers. Food tastes better as well due to how much we cook all the time. So now this saves us almost 2 hours running to town to fill 10 5gal jugs every weekend. Wish I would of done this sooner cause its worth every penny we spent. Now were looking into a water softener from them to complete our system. I included a couple photos of how I did my system and mine is outside but I built it's own shed protected from the sun and cold. Also a picture of the water test as of now. You will see the hardness is way up there but were going to be getting a softer this week. Hopefully this helps someone make a decision like it did for me reading others. Also to note there customer service is the best Ive ever delt with, extremely friendly and made sure our system was working properly and that we were happy with it. So for the price you get alot of Bang for the buck and a product that really works great.

Immediate, Noticeable Improvement!!
Put into service 08/28/2022 in effort to correct municipal water quality degradation. After clearing lines of unfiltered water, there was a noticeable improvement. Taste of water from tap is comparable to that of filtered bottled water. Change has also been apparent in feel after showering. Will update review at a later date as follow-up for filter change interval and water quality longevity. Installation isn't overly complicated, but isn't easy either. Level of difficulty and additional material costs will depend on installed location of unit. I installed inlet as 1" and reduced to 3/4" on the outlet to match existing plumbing following the good advise of another reviewer to use union fittings. Also following guidance of reviewer, I used 6 wraps of tape in conjunction with pipe dope on threaded fittings and tightened until snug, resulting in no leaks. Pressure on gauges stays between 55 and 60 psi with no noticeable loss of pressure at fixtures. Unit build is impressive and appears to be of high quality. Filter wrench has sloppy fit on housings, but will do the job. 02-02-2023 Follow-up: Unit has filtered approx. 22K Gal. Stage 1 filter (clear housing) has turned brownish-orange. Water quality and pressure remains equivalent to when unit was first installed.

Great tasting water
This is a great kit for municipal water like mine in nj. Takes all the calcium and iron out no more stains in shower. No more chlorine smells. I did put a 5 micron prefilter before the filters to maximize filter life. Best investment I made it’s been over 3 months now without a filter change when there is a difference in pressures it’s time to change filter. Pretty easy install with copper and shark bites. It took me more than a couple hours cause sweated the pipes mostly trying to be cheap. GREAT BUY. SAVES MONEY NO NEED TO REPLACE REFRIGERATOR FILTER NOW AT ALL. Imagine all the iron if it wasn’t trapped in this filter system that’s what the brown is. You will forget what your water used to smell like but when you drain the prefilter monthly and you smell the water you drained out you will smell the chlorine you used to have in the water.

Great filters- pressure gauges DOA
Filters were easy to install and work as expected. Package is well packed. I would have given it 5 stars but none of the pressure gauges work.

Our water completely changed!
Our water was a bit iron/hard and definitely had some scale and sediment. I looked and researched quite a lot into various softeners, treatments, and other filters. What I liked about this one is its simplicity. Pressure valves are all you need to check filter performance. Not some mobile app-enabled reminder system based on flow. The universal cartridges allow me to customize the next set of filters and the clear first stage is an excellent visual indicator that it's working. I'm a fairly handy DIYer, I've done a lot of copper soldering work. I positioned the unit at my water supply just after a spin-down filter to catch the big stuff. Every drop of water the house uses goes through here. Overkill? sure. Will my plants or lawn care? probably not. The most difficult part was getting the plastic housing to seal against the threaded water lines (copper or galvanized). I had the best luck with an old plumbers trick of using pipe dope first then lay a single strand of butchers twine (real fiber not synthetic) in the threads. Then more pipe dope. This way any water that does try to get past will swell the twine creating a tight seal. Took me effectively 8 hours solid. Again, no pro. I have to say though, our water tastes great now! we do have a softener still which treats the subtle iron taste since I like softer water but it uses FAR less salt. We were burning through 2 bags a month. This purchase we WELL worth it already. We see less scale build-up on our brand new bathroom fixtures and laundry is getting cleaner.

Not sure of the effectiveness
It’s been installed in the house for 4 months and I’m still not sure of the effectiveness of this product. It seems like it is doing some thing to the water but not as advertised.
