A beautiful book
This is part book, part experience. If you make space in your soul to absorb it's messaging, it can transport you to a place of beauty and significance. It's not a book for everyone -- only those who cherish what is left after you move all the nonsense and foolishness out of the way.

WOW!
When I received this book I quickly read through it and felt disappointed.. I went “little oh” and thought the colors were bland and the paintings were boring. Then I seriously read all the words describing some of symbolism and I went “That’s interesting.”. The 2nd day I went through it and was more observant and said “yeah I see where the author is coming from.”. The third say I read the book and I said out loud” WOW, now I get it. Wow, wow, oh wow.” Maybe I am a little slower than others but it a was an inspiration for me. I promptly bought a second copy and am mailing it to my friend. I wish I could give more copies to people. I showed my sister and she liked it, flipping backwards through the pages and not reading. She acted uninterested but I think she had her armor on. All I can say Is that it is an experience and you do have to feel it to get it. A fantastic book. You will not be disappointed. It is now my fourth day and I am going “big OH!” Because I am seeing more! And understanding more deeply. Enjoy.

A Treasure to Read Over and Over Again
I love EVERYTHING about "The Well of Being"! Jean Pierre-Weill's genius shines in this work. I'm a psychotherapist, and I recommend this book to every client I work with, as it demonstrates so much of what our work together is about. The illustrations and the narrative are simply brilliant! If I could give this book a gajillion stars, I would. It's among my most treasured books.

The Well of Being: Not made for All
This book is definitely bigger than I expected it to be. It has 182 pages. It’s not a long read because there is only one sentence and then an illustration. The illustration are quite beautiful. All done in water paint images. They have a bury unfocus look but you can point out the image. It’s definit a book that you need to be alone to read without interruptions. It’s not a clear book, the sun is yellow...It’s more written like... heat that comes from the sky.You have to make your own interpretation of the story. When I read the book, I believed what the author is trying to says is ,...that we all have a special gift. When you take care of our well being, we are maturing that gift. We lose focus of our wellness, we tend to be hard on ourselves. We questions and we search for answer. Answers within others, we try to become other people. It’s when we true be ourselves, is when we will be happy and re-gain that sense of well being.People might have different perspective of the book.I don’t think it’s a book that all adults should have. I think it’s for anyone that appreciate art, that has time to sit down and interpret the story. Try to figure out what the author is trying to illustrate. I would love to actually know if I was correct or if anyone else felt the same way.I rated it a four because I appreciate the book. I just had to read it several books to try to get a better understanding.

The author gifts us a beautiful reminder that joy is an inside job
Early on in the story is a request to the reader to "bring attention to your thoughts, those that take you from this book, quiet them....and value this listening as if it were a mysterious gift" and a what a gift The Well of Being is! The author gifts us a beautiful reminder that joy is an inside job, that we still have childlike wonder and open heartedness within and crafts through his words and illustrations a path to return to that place. I didn't just read The Well of Being, I experienced it. I felt transported as if I was looking out a vast ocean or into an infinite starry sky; feeling at once big yet small, and letting this heartfelt reminder to practice loving kindness to ourselves and the world seep in. This is a book to be reread again and again. The story is a treasure in itself and Jean-Pierre Weill's Endnotes and Attributions are an added bonus - a true prize. The Well of Being is a powerful, beautiful and transformative book that I just cannot wait to share with others.

Life Changer
The Well of Being is a wonderful book that will impact you on many levels. I have it sitting next to Ram Dass’s Be Here Now, and I consider it one of the books that I enjoy hanging out with. I have read it several times. It is an aesthetic journey, a lesson in enlightenment, and yes, a guided path to the well of being. Reading the book with its light, but impactful text and beautiful, sublime illustrations, is in of itself an exercise in meditation. After going through it a few times, I found that the explanations and references at the back of the book, in the Endnotes and Attributions sections, peel back and reveal more complexity, and give the reader an even deeper sense of appreciation for the illustrations. The Well Of Being is a map, a gift, a book that may change your life.

This Book is Beyond Brilliant
This is Robert Bencivenga...the message conveyed in this book is one of great insight, and great importance for all of us to realize! Along with the author being gifted to be able to write this message in a way we can all understand, he has been blessed with an incredible artistic ability as evidenced in his paintings, and drawings included in this book. I bought 3 copies!! Don't miss it.
