They are safe and nontoxic. The waffle design is good for slightly complex steps for children learning and sliding the waffle sides together, which uses fine motor skills. Kids stayed engaged with these blocks for hours when I gave the set to them. They loved them! I recommend this item.

These “waffle block” pieces are easy to connect along with the multiple varying shaped slide attachments. After some trouble shooting, I discovered that the most stable way to construct the marble run was to support it with cube shapes. See picture. Otherwise, if constructed with single pieces, as pictured in the idea pamphlet, it tended to collapse easily. I assisted my 3 1/2 year old in building the run. Older children could build on their own. The pieces are durable and it is affordably priced. I would recommend it. Promotes thinking skills and creativity. Warning: Balls are a choke hazard for young children. Be vigilant.

This marble run is excellent to keep my little one busy! He challenges himself by rearranging the maze several different ways to make new paths. This is an excellent product to keep your child busy on those days when school is out. Keep the kids busy on the go, and have some fun building layouts together! Very satisfied.

My son had a set of Marble Run building blocks but that's just simple tracks, bridges and tubes, pretty basic. This block set takes the Marble Run to another level. It brings concepts of shape and 3D dimension, which adds complexity and way more fun. Very good.
