Worked right out of the box, no noises.
USB micro version: So far so good. Connected and installed perfectly first time. Sounds good enough. NO BEEPS, BOOPS, or connection glitches or sounds. Volume control works through the device well. Nice and small and will fit in project. Great price and value, so I bought 10. I am using the USB micro. The USB C probably will work the same, but you might have to use a PD workaround. USB-C is “smart” it should work at 5v, but look into USB-C trigger modules or similar. Or try a USB-A to C cable.

Good range and audio - without blaring voice announcements
These modules work quite nicely in both Linux (Ubuntu 24.04) and Windows. They have great range (up to about 25-30 feet, even through walls) - and have good audio quality -- and they work without blasting my ears with deafeningly loud blaring voice announcements every time they are turned on -- or connected -- or disconnected (which was a problem I had with another similar module). When these Bluetooth modules power up and connect, all I hear is a few seconds of blissful SILENCE -- followed quickly by the actual received audio, which exactly how I want them to work. Good range - and connect silently without blaring voice announcements

5 good Bluetooth receivers for the price of half of one finished device
Just tested one so far, but these are basically ideal little bluetooth receivers for mid-fidelity listening purposes. The important parts: - Good audio quality overall. I connected to my recording studio mixer with good monitors to test, and the audio is not perfect (connecting via iPhone, playing lossless via Plexamp) and likely compressed AAC, but the end quality is pretty good all things considered. Slightly gritty in the high end and overall deflated character, but not bad and very listenable. - NO CONNECTION ANNOUNCEMENTS!!! NO CHIMES! This was key for me. I do not want any "Bluetooth Connected" or chimes or anything playing other than my music. I got these primarily to retrofit some speakers for my baby's nursery, which was playing loud chimes when I walked out of range or disconnected, which is not ideal. This will work perfectly as a replacement. - Easy and simple to power via 5V USBC or MicroUSB -- either version probably works, I got USBC because I have more of those cables lying around. Doesn't support PD, so you need to use a USBA-to-C cable for best results, but that's pretty standard for small devices like this. - Range is a potential downside, as it only has a standard trace antenna and no means of connecting a better one. But I like range for Bluetooth receivers to be fairly limited as I kinda should be within listening distance. Range is just fine in my testing, if I'm in the same room or on the same floor it generally stays connected. Overall I'm impressed. For half the cost of a finished Bluetooth receiver, you can get five of them and the only real difference is that there's no plastic box. 3D print your own or just foam-tape it to the back of a speaker and you're good.

Works awesome
My autistic kiddo has a special interest in speakers. But in the wireless world, older speakers he’d find at resale stores were a limited to wired inputs. I paired this board with a 3.7V Li-Ion cell, and a micro-usb charging board with adjustable voltage output. So I have a self-contained, rechargeable, Bluetooth to headphone-jack converter. I fed this little board with 4.95 volts, and it was immediately up and running. I can Bluetooth to my little box, cable the box in to an aux input on a speaker system, and boom, music. The fact that this entire build worked flawlessly on the first go amazes me. Nothing at all to complain about with this board. I was prepared for poor sound quality, but was pleasantly surprised that the sound quality was great. I honestly can’t hear any distortion in the highs or lows. Way more performance that I expected at this price point. Editing down to 4 stars. I built out 4 boxes, and one of the 4 has a bad left channel. Well, it randomly worked 1 time on my 4th or 5th power-on, but 95% of the time the left channel plays at about 5% volume. I guess at this price point a bad board in a batch of 5 is expected? The other 3 I’ve tested seem to be solid at least.

Very easy setup, easy to use, works great!
Very easy setup, just apply power via the USB connector or 5v max via the solder pads. Easy Bluetooth connectivity; audio output via either the 3.5mm standard stereo jack or via R/L/G pads on the board. A great way to add Bluetooth capability to an older stereo system, radio, or any audio system.

On batteries... The audio will crackle when the battery gets low
So the audio on my Bluetooth player was crackling. I'm like ,darn... The board is junk or something... Them I'm like, wait, I've been on the same batteries for over a few weeks!!! Changed the batteries and bam ! Sounds fantastic ❤️. I needed to remember that batteries don't last forever in this thing, it just feels like they do 😂.. great sound quality. Pairs to my phone very quickly. I ordered 10 more for other projects and gifts.

Great for DIY Bluetooth Headphones
Works great, just wish the Bluetooth ID could be changed as I can't use two in the same vicinity because I can identify which speaker is which. I used it to convert regular headphones into Bluetooth ones with a lipo battery and charging circuit, works well

No issues, good range and quality
I am using 4 of those in one house, and they work consistently. Audio quality is great and range is better than my older receiver. These are not multipoint, so you cannot connect a new device until you disconnect the old one. Also, the Bluetooth name cannot be changed, so when pairing, all five look the same. There is no pin, so these are not great for apartment buildings.
