I use 4/0 cable and the lugs are 1 inch wide, will they fit? The correct answer is NO the widthe of the opening is 11/16 not 3/4 as used on the 4/0 c

Inverter Manufacturer says I need a 400Amp Breaker between my battery and low frequency inverter! 1-pole I assume?

2 pole is safer, as it interrupts both cables. I have had 2 units of the 400amp single pole fuse open (no current) without ever tripping. I would not trust these units with anywhere near their rated current, which makes them useless as a breaker. Just a giant switch....

What does it mean when it says no short circuit protection at 12-32v? It sounds non-functional.

Correct. They are no good as actual breakers, better off with a knife switch and fusible links!
