Techni Ice 2ply Reusable Ice & Heat Packs (20)

4 ply better. Great to keep stuff cold, but leaks.

These are nifty packs to keep on hand. They can be cut to fit different sizes (just be sure to stay in the sealed area between the squares), but don't take up much space before being activated with water. I've only used them for cooling purposes, as ice packs in a heavy duty insulated bag for medically necessary ice vest inserts- and they work quite well. They keep the inserts cold for a full 12 hour day.

I ordered these techni ice from Group Medical Supplies and they are not nearly as good as I have ordered in the past from Group Med Shop. The one side is made of mesh and is doesn't inflate fully. Plus they stick together while freezing making it difficult to pull them apart which is very frustrating.I use these a lot. Just beware of the ones that have mesh on one side.

Don't buy these. Unlike the original items, they have a mesh cloth of some kind on one side. We had to go to great lengths to keep them from sticking together. We actually put them in a plastic bag to keep that from happening. Whoever made the decision to change the design screwed up massively. These used to be our very favorite item to put in our coolers, our packs, nearly everywhere that we required cooling. But the new version is so unlike the original that I simply cannot recommend them anymore. I'm sure that they now have a warehouse full of these that are sitting on the shelf, and that's too bad. It was originally a genius product with many uses, but that has changed to something which is a hassle to use and which stick to everything else when frozen. I was looking to buy a lot of these but now... I'm not. Sorry for the lengthy diatribe, but someone wanted to make more money and they failed by ruining the product. You may find the original at gun shows or camping shows. It's gotta be plastic on both sides.
