Thread Repair Kit M5 X 0.8mm, Metric Thread Repair Insert Kit Compatible Hand Tool Set for Damaged Thread and Auto Repairing

Had a stripped bolt hole in Aluminum Head, Had to slice the drill bit in order to fit into spot that needed drilling, would be nice to ah a bit about 2 to 2-1/2 in long instead of standard index size. Other than that kit did the job intended.

Works as well as the original.

I have my screw holes back

Drill worked fine, Tap worked like expected, but couldn't get the coil to thread. Don't know why but just kept breaking the tab

This product saved my bacon!!!! Had stripped out exhaust manifold bolts in aluminum head of a 2004 Dodge Durango. If I had more time I would have done all 8 bolt holes but I only did the two that were stripped out. They are stronger now then when they were new!

Tolerances seem to be high. No problems with bolts fitting after installation.

I used this to repair my stripped Timing Bolt Tensioner Hole! There isn't room to get a full size drill bit, without removing the engine. I cut the bit down to 2 inches. Then used a right angle drill adapter, to drill out the damaged threads. The rest was easy. Go for it!

Worked well on aluminum. I had a bolt strip the threads on a motorcycle frame slider. A new frame slider kit would have been $180. Having used thread repair inserts in industrial applications for decades I figured I'll give it a try and it worked great.

The set is suppose to be 15 pieces, right now I have 10 pieces of helicoil and no tool.
