I believe it will work with the charger as long as it has the powerplay receiver on the bottom of the mouse. It should be compatible with any powerplay device.

No you don't need a charging puck. You just remove the cover on the bottom of your LG mouse and you use it without the wireless puck cover. You then just dock the mouse when you need to charge it. The dock doesn't work if you have a puck in the mouse.
