I find it very easy to navigate around the device reads codes quickly and clears them easily quality seems very durable and great price point. Love it definitely recommend it if you work on your own stuff.

This scanner has already paid for itself twice over. As cars get more complex with more than a single CPU/System to access you need a scanner like this. With my old scanner I could read an ABS code but could not access the ABS system to gather more data. This scanner solved the problem and I was able to determine which sensor to correct and gather live data. The end result was the sensor read area was dirty and I did not have to replace the sensor. Even if you are not a DIY like myself you can detect, diagnose and document the problem so you will know if your mechanic is on the level with you. Well worth the money. UPDATE- I recently updated my scan tool with the current library files and have done this exercise successfully in the past. This time my unit remains in a “stuck” mode at boot up noting the TF card is initializing. I have tried numerous suggestions including formatting the micro SD card and reloading the card. The files reside on the card and the unit attempts to read but gets in an initializing loop. I tend to believe it’s a software issue. The unit is under warranty and I have emailed the launch support team. Hopefully I get a response or instructions to return the unit. I have reduced from 5 to 2 stars. Ok I kept tinkering around and found the Launch site in the UK, downloaded an earlier version software download tool. Note this tool still contains the newest library files for all the various car brands & years. This resolved my issue. An analogy would be the software download tool acts like a driver and I installed a previous driver. Regardless maybe this will help someone else. The device is a good tool just with a software “hiccup” so I moved back to 4 stars

I am impressed with this OBD2 scanner / diagnostic tool, especially for the price. I work in the powersports industry (motorcycles, ATV, UTV, etc.) and the comparative type tools we use cost many times more than this one and most have less functionality. If you are an auto technician or even just a do-it-yourselfer and have a modern day vehicle then a OBD2 scanner / diagnostic tool is a must. There are lots of brands and models available for purchase that range from super cheap to rather expensive. Obviously as you go up in price you usually get more functionality you get. The ability to read ABS, SRS, and Transmission codes are what really set this OBD2 diagnostic tool apart from the cheaper scanners. This tool could replace my $3,000 Snap-On…It’s a durable, rugged tool that can handle the day-to-day ‘activities’ that us mechanics put our tools through. Support for ABS, SRS, and Transmission codes are icing on the cake. I like how many vehicles the CRP123 supported. If you’re needing an OBDII scanner for Euro and Asian cars, this is a good option. I was able to test it on a few of my friend’s Mercedes (SL500) and BMW’s that most OBDII tool have troubles with and it performed flawlessly. The graphing feature is very helpful and it’s easy to choose the PID’s to graph. The Launch Tech CRP123 is an awesome scanner. It has the potential to replace and fill the boots of $1,000+ scanners. It’s easy to use and provides all the information that you need to see to get right to fixing the problem. ABS/SRS/Transmission support is awesome. Not only does it provide the generic codes, but it also shows the manufacture-specific codes. Support for Asian and European vehicles is very handy if that’s what your clients are driving (Audi, Mercs, BMWs, etc). The graphing and freeze frame data is pretty neat… no need to watch the screen while you’re driving. Just take the car out for a spin and view the graph from the comfort of your shop The only slight negative I can think of is I wish a case was included. I hope you found this information helpful. Bought this at the end of 2019 for my dad who was about to retire. He wanted to use it to fix vehicles for friends and family. And then the pandemic hit which left him pretty much unable to use it until recently. Pulling codes was pretty easy it was when you tried the diagnostic tool and choose vehicle make and model it would give on error message”maximum data stored. Delete to download” you would press ok and try again with same results! He gave the tool back to me and said could you try the original download or update to see if it fixed the problem. After trying the download 4or5 times I decided to see if the download was even showing on the micro sd card. The largest file showing was 256 kB. The download I was trying to do was to selec ALL vehicle make and models so it should have been CONSIDERABLY larger file. The download never happened!!! Completely frustrated I called the manufacturer. After explaining what was going on he asked “where did you buy the unit?” And I told him AMAZON. He said “ that’s why you have an overseas version. We don’t sell the U.S version on AMAZON.” Basically he told me their was nothing they could do! And because of the time frame AMAZON gave me the same response even though it’s in perfect condition and original package!! All of this could have been avoided with the heading “OVERSEAS VERSION”!!! Too bad two GLOBAL COMPANIES couldnt figure out a simple swap fore the right version even if there was a price difference!!!!!!

This obd2 scanner was a good price at the time I purchased it o know theres alot of other options out there this was a quality tester did obd2 real time data and more

I tried and returned a Foxwell 630 Plus. The software update and install was painful. The Foxwell 630 plus was clunky, slow, non-user friendly and felt outdated. The CRP-123 scan tool is user friendly tablet with a fast processor and plenty of features. In less than 2 hours after removing the CRP-123 scan tool from its shipping box. I was able to register it, update the software, review the manual and run several test on five different makes of vehicles. The CRP-123 scan tool was tested on a 2013 BMW 330, 2009 Audi S5, 2007 Chevy Suburban, 2016 Honda Accord and a 2002 Dodge Ram1500 pickup. I was able to use all of the CRP-123 features on all five vehicles with the exception of one test on two vehicles. The BMW, and Dodge Ram pickup did not support the evaporator test. A few days prior the AC Blower Motor was replaced on the Audi S5. The airbag light stayed on (battery was not disconnected prior to repair). The CRP-123 scan tool located the issue and provide DTC B100E1B " front passenger knee airbag igniter - resistance too high. Once I verified the knee airbag and connectors were good, I was able to clear the code and remove the airbag light. The 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup airbag light stayed on. I was able to locate a failed driver seat belt tensioner short to battery. Once the seat belt repair was accomplished I was able to clear the code and remove the airbag light. For less than $160.00, the CRP-123 is a impressive Automotive Diagnostic Scan Tool and a must for any shade tree mechanic.
