Publications International 101 BEST DIABETIC FOODS

This book is wonderful for anyone who is diabetic or for anyone just wanting to make easy decisions for healthy eating. All foods are alphabetized and explain why the food is a good choice. There are lots of easy and very tasty recipes as well. Highly recommend this purchase.Bought one for our granddaughter's family and quickly re-ordered one for ourselves!

I bought this book for my son in law. I liked it so much I kept it and had to order another one. Great recipes whether you are diabetic or not and a lot of useful information.

I got this book and was FLOORED with some of the recommendations within. As an example, one muffin recipe calls for a half cup of white sugar in the mix and then sprinkle more white sugar on the top before baking. This was written by a Registered Dietician who is clueless but had the raw audacity to write a book for vulnerable people looking for answers, when the author has no idea what diabetes is about. One thing that's good though, there is a BIG disclaimer written in the front pages of the book that states the author, the publisher, the printer and anyone else who has anything to do with the publication is not responsible for what is in it, nor cannot be held responsible for any harm that comes to any person following the guidance in the book. That says it all.

This book is a huge help in adapting to diabetes, in picking foods with reasonably-lower impact on blood sugar, in designing menus that utilize them, in opening discussions thereon. We often cook out of it, and more often, use it to expand our ideas about good-tasting but diabetes-friendly foods.We started with a borrowed copy, then bought our own to keep it.Many books and articles are too simple to be helpful ("yeah, yeah, got it!"), others too detailed, others too isolated (a single recipe in the newspaper). For us, this book hit the sweet spot of enough different ideas, enough nuance, enough good sense, to be something we have returned to every day, going on two months. I expect we'll absorb what we want from it, at some point, but it's our go-to cookbook for now.

If anyone out there is a newly diagnosed diabetic like me this is a great book. Its easy enough to look online to see what ;you can and cannot eat and a lot is common sense but this book is so handy and explains in detail and includes recipes. I did not want to buy book after book and with this one you dont have to unless you really want a cook book which I didnt. So glad I bought it.
