ProTec Ace Wake Helmet

Purchased this helmet as a water safety helmet for use with my jet ski. To many that may seem like overkill, but when you’re on a craft capable of doing high speeds, getting your bell rung is a very real possibility. Better safe than sorry. I ordered it in shiny red because I really like the looks, but more importantly, hopefully the Coast Guard will too should they need to come and rescue me. Thus, I really wanted something that can be easily seen. It matches my new Force 6 Rescue Tech PFD as well. I REALLY LIKE THE LOOK. That’s because when I’m wearing all my PPE, I both look and feel safe. That’s probably because I AM....SAFE. For all you PWC riders out there...how come you never wear a helmet? YOU SHOULD.

I have helmets for many sports from, biking, off road racing to back country snowboarding and now water-sports. If you follow their measuring guideline the helmet fits like a glove. a little snug but after one day use broke right in and fits great. Add to it the first day I used it, my knee-board on a wipe out shot in the air and came down right on my head "thank you Pro-Tec job well done!".

Adequate protection in the best fitting helmet I’ve tried, very similar to the Neil Pryde but fits better and the ear guards are better. For an ok price: I believe if you want better the price jumps to the $300 mark.

My husband had a Pro Tec helmet 10 years ago that got stolen. He tried a few other helmets over the years, but he always missed his Pro Tec. A bought him this helmet for Father's Day this year and he is so happy with it. High quality and comfortable. Also--their customer service is excellent! The first helmet we ordered was a bit tight so I ordered the next size up and didn't return the first one before the return window closed. The company was 100% willing to work with me so i could still return the first size. They responded to my email the same day!

Ordered this helmet in an XS size for my 9-year old son. His head measures at 53.5cm. The XS is supposed to fit UP TO 54cm, meaning this helmet should have been a perfect, snug fit. It was way too loose. Also, ignore the ear flaps you see in the photo because they DO NOT come with the helmet. This company needs to fix their description and update the sizing chart.

Works great for windsurfing, very good rescue/avoidance visibility in high-wind/waves ocean conditions. Fits well, see mfg. sizing chart. Good padding including low support on back of neck. Finish/color seem to be more durable (scratches/dents) than expected.

best helmet ever for everything and i mean everything. wakeboarding longboarding rockclimbing mt biking you name it! inside is thick yet soft cushion padding instead of harder Styrofoam models. simply hose it down or was in the sink no problem. durable enough to withstand a drop from 8 story parking garage to concrete(self tested). ive had mine for 5 years now and i will always get this helmet again if i break this one....but im not sure i will ever need to buy another.

Schöner Helm für alle Wakeborder mit einem kleinen Kopf. Auf der Wasserskianlage bitte nie ohne Helm fahren. Hinter dem Boot kann man sich den Helm evtl. sparen.
