It is a thin piece of leather and coming from sheepskin it has a very prominent mutton gamey smell. I was quite shocked at the smell, it is not pleasant. I hope it recedes over time and through use. The issue I have with the smell is that it gets onto your hands. Yuck.The leather is fine for wiping down the car, I can wipe down my 2 series BMW without needing to squeeze out. I just hope when the car dries out the mutton gamey smell comes off the car too!
