Does the foam have a chemical like odor? Or was the one a viewer mentioned defective?

Mine had no chemical odor. It HAS made a significant differnce in pain relief. I sit for 10 hours a day at work and my bum does not get sore. I highly recommend this prodoct over all others and I gave tried many.

My husband is working at home now. He has a very good office chair but it's starting to be uncomfortable in the bhis upper thighs. Will this pad help?

It doesn't help for the thighs. I spent a lot of money on pillows and they never helped with pain. I suggest spending the money on a better office chair.
