Such a cute dress not “ugly” at all! I’m very happy with this dress. I bought an XL and it’s a little big. I probably would have been fine in a large. I’m 5’2 and 170 lbs. great length for me. It sits above the knees, just below the thigh.

In my opinion this is more like a tunic top meant to be worn with leggings than it is a dress, unless you are a shorter person. I am 5’6 and it was way too short to wear as a dress so I am returning. The fabric is decent and design is cute, but I do not consider it a dress and I think the title and advertisement is misleading.
