Rio Grande Games Dominion: Prosperity 2nd Edition Expansion - Ages 14+, 2-4 Players, 30 Mins (RIO622)

Prosperity is the first expansion that I have bought for my Dominion big box set. Technically Intrigue would be the first one as it game in the big box but this is the first one that I intentionally sought out. The additions of the platinum and province cards alone make it worth it as they expand every game in a significant way. Beyond those cards the additional treasure cards are a blast, like Hoard that is +2 coin and when you buy a victory card get a Gold. Or Tiara that lets you play a treasure twice. Or Quarry that reduces the cost of Action cards by 2 coin. It also has one of my favorite attack cards Charlatan that counts as a gold and gives everyone else a curse while also changing curses to count as a copper as well. Then there is Grand market that is "market" but +2 coin and cannot be bought with copper and kings court that lets you play an action card 3x. This expansion is definitely a must buy for anyone looking to expand their base Dominion game but not wanting to complicate the core mechanics just yet. Prosperity can easily be implemented with new players just learning the mechanics where some of the other expansions complicate it for new players too much.

LOVE Dominion games! Prosperity is my favorite of the expansions I have tried so far. It adds an extra element to the game that makes it more challenging and strategic.

Buy the big box first and then buy this as your first extension. The game play is quicker and more exciting with the addition of the higher point/money cards. It’s a fan favorite anywhere we go.

A little spendy but so worth it. This expansion makes Dominion even better !!

Item as described. Excellent addition to dominion base game. Easily playable by my young teens. Would recommend knowing how to play base game before adding this expansion.

This set focuses on money. It has platinum cards and new colony cards worth 10 victory points each. This is a favorite expansion pack. Can not be played alone!

Have you played this? Its one of the BEST expansions in temrs of what it adds to the game, without adding tons of hard to graspnew mechanics. Id recommend this as the next expansion you buy.
