Will the rack system work with a tonneau cover?

Yes. I have it mounted on the bed rails of a 2919 Silverado with my hard tonneau cover in place.

Do you have to drill holes in the bed of the truck to install this?

Yes, you have to drill holes. I was hoping they would mount in the factory rail system but they do not.

How does this rack actually connects to the bed rack? Is it bolted or do you use a clamp system.?

This is bolted and does not come with a clamp system. I’m still working on getting it connected to my truck bed as it is quite a pain.
