I ordered this headset to use with my Xbox Series X. I didn't want one of the dual ear headphone options that make you look like DJ or airline pilot. I also don't care about hearing footsteps in Call of Duty or whatever else for that "competitive edge". It is a comfortable, small headset with good audio quality. At first I thought the headset didn't get loud enough until I realized you can adjust the settings within the Xbox Guide. You can adjust the ratio of In-game sound to other people's voices and the overall volume. After adjusting it, it sounded great. My friends in party chat said the quality of the audio coming from the mic also sounded great to them. The adapter that plugs into the controller is small and non-obtrusive and features volume up and down buttons, mute button, and a multi-function button. This headset reminds me of the official Xbox Live Wireless headset from the Xbox 360 days which was a great option for back then. I wish Microsoft would offer a more affordable, single ear option like the Recon Air. The battery life seems great and is charged via USB-C which is nice and they include a USB-A to USB-C adapter in the box along with a couple different sizes of earbud tips to help you make it more comfortable if the stock size is too big or too small. All in all, if you are looking for a simple headset to talk to friends within party chat or other players in-game that sounds great, doesn't break the bank at $40, and at the end of the day doesn't have you looking like a DJ or airline pilot, I think this a great option! I will update my review in the future about my experiences with this headset.

Great product for my husband to use playing Xbox

I picked this up to prevent myself from being tethered to my XBOX controller with a wired headset and so I could still be able to hear my surroundings clearly while gaming. It meets my needs perfectly. Audio in voice chat is clear and easy to understand. Sound is monaural, so using audio clues for gaming is useless, but using it for chat while using the TV for game sounds clears that up. All in all, an excellent purchase. I may pick up another for my PC, as my wired headphones for Zoom meetings aren't very good.

If I could rate this at zero stars I would. I had some trouble inserting it into the controller so I double checked the instruction manual and then tried again. Upon my second attempt, more confident that I was doing what I was supposed to be, I used a bit more force and it went in. So I figured it was just one of those things that requires some extra force. Happy that I got the piece inserted into the controller I was excited to use the headset (After fully charging it of course). The earpiece itself powered on no problem but to my disappointment there was no connection to the piece in the controller or my Xbox. I tried multiple power cycles and all of which yielded the same result. So I think “maybe it was a problem with the controller and not the headset?” With that in mind I grabbed a second controller and the piece that goes into the controller went in about halfway so I pulled it back out. Once I removed it, I found that the mating surface internal to the controller has shifted from my attempt to insert the piece. Not only did the headset NOT work when I successfully put it in one controller, but it also damaged a separate controller. I am/ have been a huge supporter of Turtle Beach headsets since I started gaming 15+ years ago and that’s why I purchased this microphone because I trusted the brand. Unfortunately that has changed with my purchase of this microphone. If all you read from this review is this last line DO NOT BUY THIS HEADSET
