Installed in my boat - very easy with existing wires. Sounds great and basic functions are easy to use. There are so many other things you can do - colors - amps etc. I haven't had time to really go through it but I was able to easily attach the Bluetooth and use the stereo within minutes of installation.

Good radio reception, BT connection and lots of power for 6x9s and 5.25s on my boat, no amp needed. I wish the display was better than just black letters on a white screen but it is visible on my boat. Had to buy a remote separately, which should have been included for this price. Kenwood interface is simple enough but looks very dated. Overall, I am pleased.

This is my second unit, as I discovered that the first one had an issue with it. I installed them in my motorcycle. I wanted a better playing device that was easy to use, could be seen during the day, and had bluetooth. The first one developed an issue about a month in where it would randomly turn itself off and on. I checked all my connections and made sure that they were secure and tight. Good. Yet, it still continued on with it's issue. I tried something when it turned itself off; I pushed the faceplate into the unit and it'd come back on. So the issue was within the connection between the faceplate and the unit itself. So I returned it, and asked for a replacement unit. The second arrived within a few days. I installed it exactly like the first one; making sure all the connections were strong and tight. So far, I've not had any issues with it. My friend made a comment about it's probably vibrating too much being on a motorcycle. While I agree in principal, this unit was sold as a marine & car radio. Both of which receive their fare share of vibrations. Plus, the issue was extremely random, it didn't always happen with a bump or a jarring from the road. I could be sitting still and it would still act up. In the month I've had the second one installed, I'm very happy with the sound quality, the bright display (I can see it during the day), and how easy it is to use.

Bought for my pontoon. The previous factory radio had shorted out and was drawing down battery. Setting up the connections took a bit longer than I anticipated, but that's likely because I was excited and in a hurry! Once I got it connected in the boat it mounted easily and is very secure. It paired with my iPhone and the BT is perfect.

Installed in boat end of 2024 season (IN WEATHERPROOF ENCLOSURE, UNDER WINTER-COVER), used exactly one time (not exposed to salt water) before storing for winter, 2025 season it gives a "MISWIRING" error (which if you Google is quite common for these). I pay to ship back to Kenwood service center for warranty diagnosis and repair, they discover corroded PCB (internal circuit board). Was told it cannot be repaired. I can assure you this unit was not subject to any conditions that would promote corrosion. Unless you will be installing literally indoors I would highly recommend looking at something more durable, especially at this price point. This is far from marine grade and I firmly believe come with manufacturing defects. Do your research, read reviews, be careful when people warn about protection modes or miswiring errors that can't be resolved. This was a pretty expensive mistake, for something so disposable.

I Bought this to replace a similar 5 year old marine Kenwood that quit working. This one works great and it is also a lot easier to see the faceplate in the sunshine, it is a lot brighter than the previous model.

I ordered this from Amazon, but I never received it due to Hurricane Milton. I was refunded and was able find the same unit locally, albeit for a bit more$. But I bought this exact model because of the reviews on Amazon, so I wanted to leave a review here. The display is fantastic! I’ve installed at least a dozen stereos in my boat over the last 20 years, usually in the $70-$80 range, and I couldn’t read the displays on any of them during daylight. This unit is the first one ever that’s readable in full sunlight. And I was amazed by how much better the sound is! I had no idea my speakers had it in them. You get what you pay for, I guess. It’s too soon to tell how well it stands up to the brutal environment it will be subjected to, but based on my experience so far I’ll only buy these stereos going forward

I I stalled this on my motorcycle to replace the old factory one that Harley Davidson installs, after getting the adapter kit and steering wheel control kit needed, from a different vendor I installed myself and I'm super pleased with the results, sound is awesome, way better than my old unit, I would definitely buy another of these if I needed to.

I like the way it installs. It’s very easy to install. The features are very user intuitive. I ordered another radio previously, and it was very difficult to operate, and this one the display is visible in bright sun, whereas the previous radio was not to be clear, the previous radio was not a Kenwood. It was a cheaper offbrand.
