Portmeirion, Botanic Garden Bouquet Collection, Set of 4 Measuring Cups - Butterfly Handle, are so sweet. These Portmeiron Botanic Garden Bouquet Collection cups are designed to be used as measuring cups. They have dear little handles with butterflies on them and they hold from 1/4 C up to 1 C each depending on the size. They have the Botanic Garden Bouquets on them and they just call out to you.I have a number of pieces of this collection and I had to have these to add to the collection. They are a neat set that nests into one another and looks so nice. These cups are made of dolomite and are well finished. I must say I have concerns about using them to measure ingredients and being able to grasp the handles securely. I would be most disappointed to be using one and dropping it because of a slippery grip. Until I can figure out to securely grasp them, I probably won't cook with them.This Thanksgiving holiday I did use them, however. I placed them on my table holding an assortment of small treats such as nuts, and small hard candies. They looked quite appealing and my guests ate up the goodies. They worked perfectly as small serving containers and were easy to refill. They will look good with the rest of the collection and actually have a function. I am quite pleased with their sweet appearance and glad I found them.

Have you ever treated yourself to something completely frivolous and silly... just because? That's these measuring cups. Are they functional? Technically. They come in the 4 standard sizes you'd want and are adequately labeled. They're not exactly easy to use with their ruffled edges and butterflies for handles... but, like.... they are SO adorable. Delicate and sweet. Each one has a different botanical image and a different colored butterfly. They're absolutely precious. I've never seen anything like them. They're almost too pretty to use. Definitely would make a darling little counter display with different things in them. Wouldn't even know they were measuring cups! I think they'll be versatile and extremely useful for me. I'll be replacing my worn out old plastic set with the numbers all rubbed off with these gorgeous, ridiculous things and I just couldn't be happier!

Yeah, I did not need these, but I couldn’t resist. My kitchen is Alice in Wonderland themed but not in a cartoon way. Think 8 high teacup stacks and creepy plants with eyeballs, but also some butterflies and various floral dishes. I saw these and didn’t even blink before I ordered them. Ooh they’re so pretty! I didn’t know measuring cups could be so fancy. They’re like little teacups. I love that each cup has its own flower and butterfly, and that they’re not repeated. The cup size is simply stated inside the lip by the handle. Bonus points for the extra details of fluid ounces and milliliters. The scalloped edges make them look so delicate. I just love them. Now, I did test out their capacities and found them all to be short of the actual measurements. Which was a bit of a bummer. I really think it’s due to the way the scalloped edges curved outward. It’s extremely difficult to use the full capacity of each cup when you can’t fill them all the way up. If the edges didn’t curve outward, they’d be a lot more accurate due to more usable area. So I knocked off a star for that. But just one because I’m really going to use these as a decor mostly, and I knew that going in. If you don’t have to be super accurate in what you’re cooking, scoop away with this adorable cup set!
