VelroseCotton Batiste 23" Half Slip (4537)

This is what slips were like in the 60's! Very pretty and light weight. Perfect to wear under dress on hot days.

The half-slip is a comfortable cotton and well-made. I do wish the fabric was less sheer, a bit heavier but I am glad to have it.

Beautiful batiste fabric! It is of a very fine quality, so wonderfully soft. The lace trim is lovely & is sewn on very securely. No puckering of seams or lace. Just the right amount of sheerness without see-through. Wish these came in other lengths, these are approximately 23". I liked the first one so much that I purchased 4 more! Runs true to size; however, I have an abdominal, medically implanted device that requires looser clothing, so I ordered a 2x: perfect fit! They launder very well, too, requirng little to no ironing. Extremely happy with this purchase, would DEFINITELY I recommend to anyone!!!

I liked everything about the slip but it ran small. Would be nice to have other colors, like nude and black cotton slips offered. I appreciated finding a cotton slip to wear in 96 degree weather.

This is a great slip if you want coverage under slightly sheer skirts. It does run large and it feels as if the waistband is not snug enough but I haven't washed it yet, so these things may change. It is very light so it feels like it's not even there! Over all I feel this is a nice foundation garmet to have when you want coverage under slightly see through skirts.

This is very lightweight, 100% cotton, similar to a handkerchief cotton, perfect for very hot weather. You can see through the fabric, but it should be fine under a summer dress or skirt. The lace detailing is very nice. I machine washed and dried it on the delicate cycle. It came out fine, did not seem to shrink much, but will have to be ironed. I love this fabric for summer, but it is very difficult to find. Everything today is a polyester blend, which is not as cool. The sizing is true to size. Their chart said to order a large, which I did, and I usually wear a 12 dress. It is a comfortable fit, not real tight, which will allow for air circulation. I am very happy with this product and with the service provided.

it’s bad enough I paid such a ridiculous price for a simple cotton slip (I couldn’t find one and was desperate). It was wadded up like a worthless rag and stuffed into a plastic bag for shipment. They couldn’t be bothered to even fold it. I have cheesecloth that is almost more densely woven. I am outraged at such a rip off. I neatly folded the slip, and placed it back in the bag to return. But, please take my warning. Anything offered by this company is not to be trusted, and certainly not worth the price they charge.

I bought this skirt 8 years ago, and it was finally starting to be a bit dingy, so I bought another. The lace is good and was still intact on my old one. It is plenty thick enough to hide see-through problems with my summer skirts without being too thick and hot. I highly recommend this for use under summer skirts. Also, the length is good for my mid-calf skirts as I am 5'2".
