I did not purchase the Warm Rose Crochet Threads. The Bridal White and White Colors I purchased were Threads. They are not stretchy; however, there is some stretchiness depending on the items/ pattern crocheted.

Q: How many grams of thread on a skein?

They do not list grams only yardage 150 yards each. You probably could get grams from manufacturer Yarninspirations

Q: Is it my imagination or has Aunt Lydias Bridal White become stiffer? Hook size doesn't matter.

I just compared an older ball with one of the newer ones. There seems to be a difference in texture; almost like a thinner thread. Using a 3.5mm/0 hook ten sample stitches, the older ball I had gotten at Wal-mart was a quarter inch longer than the other ball.

Makes Great Summer Garments

I like to use Aunt Lydia's crochet cotton to make summer tops, and bikinis. Fo bikinis I use a crochet hook. For tops and shawls, I use size 8, 9, 10, or 10.5 or 11 knitting needles. The color Natural is not what I expected. It is similar to Bridal White with more of yellow cast. 3 balls are enough to make a very lacy top or short shawl with the larger needles. Crochet uses more yarn and will be heavier so 2 balls may make a bikini top
