The grace of a ballerina and the power of a wrestler!
As a seasoned wood splitter, I must say the WEN 56208 6.5-Ton Electric Log Splitter is the best sidekick I could ask for. Not only does it handle my wood-splitting chores with the grace of a ballerina and the power of a wrestler, but it also gives me a good sense of satisfaction every time I use it!Firstly, let's talk about build quality. This machine is sturdier than my determination to tell dad jokes at family gatherings. I've used it extensively, and it's as reliable as my morning number 2's.Now, the power. Oh, the power! This log splitter tackles wood like it's going through a hot knife, and I'm talking about butter that's been left out in the sun on a hot summer day. It's so powerful, I half expect it to start splitting atoms next.Portability is another plus. It's easier to move around than convincing my friends to come over for a BBQ (and that's saying something). Whether it's from the shed to the yard or just repositioning it for a better angle, this splitter moves more smoothly than my best pick-up lines. The cherry on top? My loyalty to WEN products continues to grow. Each time I use this log splitter, I feel like it's whispering sweet nothings to me about quality and efficiency. It's become a trusty companion in my wood-splitting adventures, much like my favorite flannel shirt. In conclusion, the WEN 56208 Electric Log Splitter doesn't just split logs; it splits my face into a big, hearty smile every time I use it. It's a fantastic product that keeps the firewood - and the fun - flowing!

Very surprised how great this works.
I ordered this splitter to cut down on the work of axe splitting wood at my cabin. Being a small unit, I didn’t really know what to expect. This tool worked great. Cut my work load down and split every piece of wood I threw into it. The only suggestion I would make is to order the foot pedal so you get rid of the green push button and have a free hand for holding awkward logs on the slide. Highly recommend if you are on the fence for a much cheaper, efficient splitter.

Excellent Log Splitter for the Price
I'm giving this product 4 stars for the price versus utility (getting the job done). It does a great job of splitting the logs. Compared to other splitters, I liked the price point ($277) at the time of purchase.I had two tall pine trees cut down on my property because they were dying. Therefore, I have many logs to split for firewood for our outdoor fireplace. If I had paid someone to split these logs, it would have cost more than this splitter. Also, my time is valuable. Therefore, I consider this splitter a good deal. It gets the job done quickly and efficiently. However, there are a few cons that other buyers also mentioned:1) The owner's manual does not do a great job of explaining the stand assembly. This was a minor issue since the assembly was simple, but I needed to use my own tools - socket wrench, etc. (and my brain :) ). Also, the handle was not attached to the machine, although the manual implied it was - not a big deal.2) The wheels are not as sturdy as I would prefer for the weight they need to support. They are cheap plastic wheels. These wheels do not roll well on the gravel area outside my workshop, where I do the log splitting. A larger diameter wheel would be better. Also, I am guessing that the wheels will not roll well on soft ground, for example, if you take this splitter into the forest (along with a generator to power it) to split logs. Here is some vital information I don't think other reviewers mentioned:The operator's manual contains critical information. Before you operate the splitter, you need to loosen a hydraulic bleed valve at the end of the splitter. This requirement is not intuitively obvious. The bleed screw is hidden between the handle and the frame. Here is the warning from the manual:"Always loosen the bleed screw prior to operation. This will remove any air trapped in the hydraulic system. Failure to release air from the hydraulic system may damage the hydraulic seals, permanently damaging the Log Splitter."My advice to the manufacturer is to place this warning on a tag attached to the bleed screw. Not everyone is going to read the manual thoroughly. Or, if they read it, they might miss this information.
