Q: What is the pump part of the dispenser made of? I just bought one different model and the silver part when washing it came off under cold water.

The casing of the pump head part is made of ABS material, which is made by water plating process. The interior is made of PP and the straw is made of PE. The color of the water-plated pump head will not peel off when used . Q: Is the pump made out of metal

It is not made of metal,there is the pump is made of ABS material. it is perfectly connected to the dispenser, so the liquid can be easily squeezed out and avoid leakage.
