Q: Is it designed in such a way that there is no battery drain/parasitic drain when not in use?

There is NO battery-drain during storage (just make sure that they're all switched "off" before stashing them)! ALSO, use LITHIUM batteries (as opposed to alkalines) as these do ESPECIALLY well in long-term storage, particularly in regards to the TEMPERATURE-extremes that these lights will likely be subjected to in being in a vehicle's trunk for many years on-end (and, lithiums almost never leak corrosive fluids as they age)! Even after >10 YEARS of being in your car's trunk, they should still be working just fine!

It can be seen up to 1 mile at night. Best product I ever bought. I am satisfied with the level of brightness of these devices.

Q: What color is the light flashing? i looking for amber color

Yes, the flashing lights are amber and very bright. They also have a bright clear light to use as a flashlight or work light. I highly recommend these lights.
