No instructions. Be sure you run cold water through the charcoal filter. Works great.

Do not buy.
These do not work. They significantly slow the flow of the water making the fountain very loud. Sometimes there is barely a trickle of water coming out. I replaced the pump thinking something was wrong with it but the issue persisted. Once I removed the filter it went back to working as usually. The filter has only been in for a week and it was slimy when I removed it. I now just use a Brita filter on my sink tap so the water is filter before going into the bowl and have just left the filter out completely.

No more drool
Keeps water fresh. Just rinse every other day and it last longer. My dog’s drool a lot. But the water is clean and drool free.
