Coastal FIM (Freedom in Motion) MY Touch Lockpick 2 for MyTouch Ford Lincoln systems

This is the thing the Manufacturers are afraid to install. I will only speak for the Ford version, My Ford Touch, but this company makes these devices for many makes and models.The installation was easy super easy. It plugs right into the factory harness.The results are even better. I can now have a passenger input navigation destinations while we're driving down the road. It's much easier to select Points Of Interest, too!I was able to add an $18 backup camera to the car and it works just as good as a factory one that was only available with the $1500 Auto-Parking package. (If you want to turn the camera on while driving forward, you can!) Not sure why you'd want to, even when I'm towing my boat, I don't feel the need to look at it.There is one drawback, I suppose, but I haven't actually tried this method. If you want to be able to watch videos while in motion, you won't have the use of your GPS for navigation. The reason being is that in order for this thing to allow you full function while moving, it tricks the GPS to think the car is stationary. No big deal to me, I'm not interested in that feature.Overall, this thing is great and I love it.

it stops working all the time a lot of freezing

so the price is good and it does some of the things I wanted but is it as good at NAV-TV? No When I called Coastal and asked them What settings I should use for my Raptor they said oh that function does not work on the raptor.Does it work at allowing you to input things while driving, yes, but it does this by locking the GPS position so that your map does not update you then have to reenable it.I asked if they would have a update out that allowed some of the features and they said it was not them it was ford.

The hardest part of installation of this product is the wire run from the camera point. After that its follow the directions and plug and play, the only reason I did not give th item 5 stars was the cost. At $300 + dollars the unit is a bit pricey but when you consider the engineering involved in an item like this the cost is easier to swallow. The great thing is I can remove it from the car if I ever need to and it goes right back to factory settings. Installed on a 2013 Escape.

Works great! Truly plug and play. I ordered on Saturday and had it on Monday. I put in 2013 Ford escape sel with my touch. I added a backup camera that the car did not originally have. I put the camera in and wired it to the reverse light so it would come on in reverse. I hooked the video outpu from the camera to the back up camera input on the lockpick. Put it back together and now when the car is put into reverse the rear camera view comes on the screen. When taken out of reverse screen goes back to normal. Just what I wanted. Can't speak to how long this will last since I just put it in but right now couldn't be happier.

cheaper alternative to factory rear backup system. The T harness that comes with this makes installation super easy. In my vehicle, 2013 ford escape, it was a 15 minute install(not counting the backup camera install time).Just a tip, when you reach the end of the directions and it tells you to turn the vehicle on for it do update the my touch system. It doesn't mean turn the ignition on or turn the radio on only. It means start the vehicle up.The system will not update unless the engine is running for some reason. That's no fault of the coastal FIM, just a ford thing.

I am no longer using it. The thing started beeping. According to customer service, it was looking for a front camera that was never installed.

Made the backup camera quit working when put in reverse, been riding like that for year and a half finally took back to the stereo shop to remove so I could take it back before warranty expires. Now everything working. I guess it was the lock pick.
