First off if you needed a screen replacement to access your old phone then you will be fine using this screen replacement. What you will want to do is look up online an installation by ifixit or some other channel you trust or find to be informative. It is by no means as time-consuming, if you're scared of breaking cables or parts just remember to go slow. It's not a race to fix the screen or the phone. The screws are a pain in the butt if you lost any during the removal of the old adhesive and panel off the cable connector. The only thing I wish this screen protector came with was a small extra set of screws in the event you lost one or three of the screws to hold the panel in place for the pins connector. Overall this is an awesome find that fits my budget and needs to fix and access the old phone to transfer over passwords and personal information. I am happy to see the phone working again and appreciate finding an affordable and easy-to-use replacement.

Screen have good quality in colors and sharpness, but the screen gets really hot after a few minutes, so hot it stops responding and you have to stop use it. When I play games it gets so hot the phone auto click by its own. No idea if this screen is faulty, or if it’s a thing with aftermarket lcd.

J'hésitais à faire moi-même la réparation, ayant la crainte que ça soit trop complexe. Entre autre, je pensais que de décoller l'écran du boîtier serait compliqué. Ça a été simple, mais j'ai dû prendre une spatule de métal (non fourni dans le kit) pour que ça fonctionne (l'outil de plastique n'était pas suffisant). J'ai trouvé quelques vidéos sur Youtube pour m'aider, mais en gros, ça été simple à réaliser. Il faut patient et délicat pour ne rien briser. J'ai calculé peut-être 1h30 pour faire la réparation, incluant la recherche de vidéos et la préparation de mon espace de travail. Le résultat a été une réparation qui à coûté 35$ au lieu de 170$ dans une boutique spécialisé. L'écran est peut-être un peu plus terne que l'original, mais étant donné que c'est le iPhone de mon enfant de 13 ans, qui risque de le briser à nouveau, je suis très satisfait.
