Nice and heavy duty!

I'm using these as my rolling scaffold wheels, two on each leg with two tracks. I built a single 40 ft. tower that can go forever along any structure without being disassembled,

I have purchased and installed 26 2” casters and 30 3” casters from Amazon. They are installed on a rolloff roof of an observatory. The roof weighs 3300 pounds. These casters were rated at 661 lbs (2”) and 1102 lbs (3”). I have 24 casters installed vertically under the roof to support the horizontal roof roll and 20 installed to handle the horizontal thrust when the roof is moving. We engineered and modeled the roof loading so I am confident our design parameters are accurate. After one month of operation, here is what we know about these casters: 1) the bearings are trash. They do not even come close to meeting the stated load capacity; as you can see, they disintegrate under load; 2). The bearings in the casters are not the same from one caster to another and are not as advertised; some bearings are sealed, some are shielded, the inside of the bearing is not protected at all. The bearings are very shallow and have zero grease or lubrication on them; 3) the caster brackets for the 2” casters arrive bent and the tables on them are curved. Almost impossible to plumb and get a series of these to roll in a straight line. We have very limited alternatives since so much is already welded in place. We are replacing the bearings in all casters with higher quality SKF bearings at a cost of about $25 per caster. We also are reworking the brackets to try to get the tables flat and the legs plumb. I normally do not have time to write reviews but am hoping people will read this and avoid the very expensive and time consuming problem we are trying to fix. I know Amazon could care less and I don’t expect to hear from them.

The media could not be loaded. Videos show and explain it all. but Amazone only allows one video per posting. I showed a before which clearly showed the slop\movement\play before taking apart and after disassembly to show parts used and blatant issues with manufacturing. Ie: Wrong size diameter bolt used and wrong bolt style (should be a shoulder bolt not a full thread bolt), Bearings are not pressed in nor are they the right size for the housing (fall right out by just tipping it to the side). Bearings are not sealed or stainless steel so they are not meant for outdoor use but are sold for use as a Gate wheel. Lastly in listing they should have arrived a week earlier and even though they were stored and sold at Amazon they did not notify us of delivery change or delay. All around crap product......do not waste your money.
