There were no instructions
The idea is great, as I have melted some tennis shoes on my last Harley, so this time I decided to try this out on my new Trike, and it is a good idea to add this deflector plate. The install was simple and required drilling a small hole on the foot plate. This required removal of the rubber footpad first, and I removed the entire footboard plate to make the install easier. Then it was just a metter of bolting it all back onto the bike. After a short ride, I have decided this was a good idea, and it performed just as needed without any big oversized adaptor. It actually looks like a factory install. I give it 4 stars due to no install instructions, but otherwise it is a welcome upgrade.

Great way to protect your boots and hot pipes.
I came across a version of this from Harley but it was more than double the price for this one. I was able to read the instructions and easily install it on my bike. Not I do not have to worry about my boots making a mess of my exhaust pipes or damaging my boots. I believe it is well worth the price. I would recommend this to others.

Good not great still works
Definitely needed some work, hole didnt like up so had to drill it out larger and had to bend it for better fitment, but still nice.

$15 or $75 - you decide
This appears to be identical to the one that has a bar & shield cut out (I can't type the company name), same thickness of material, same pattern. I'm all about me some genuine parts as a rule, but I just cannot see paying $75 instead of $15 for essentially the same thing. I may revise this later if the material is not good quality and deteriorates, but it's looking good to me right now. At the price point difference, I'll give it a whirl.
