hairy dogs and wild creatures
This cleans up well after the human and nonhuman animals in our household. All the creatures here are nearly feral so there is all kinda of debris and dirt. The only down side is the cord which I often roll over. But some small effort of throwing it over my shoulder tames that cord. Occasionally I fight with the handle piece which fits the accessories. Somehow I can’t push and pull or the button doesn’t work. I still think the vac is worth it despite these two aspects which demand attention when really I hate to clean so I want the least effort and extra attention possible to my tools. Still worth it. It actuals sucks up all the junk.Happy cleaning to you all.

Love this vacuum!
I used to have a regular dyson slim and loved how easy it was to use. When it finally died we got the regular dyson and I never liked it as much. The main reason was because the wand was such a pain to get out and put back in once it was out, so I never used it. When it finally bit the dust I decided to try the animal slim in hopes that the wand would come out with ease. Yes it does, and it goes back just as easily!!!! The canister is smaller, and the length of the cord is shorter, but by the time I need to move to a different plug I probably need to dump the canister....so it all works out. I've had the animal slim only 2 weeks and so far I love it!

Has it's issues - follow-up
Have now used the Dyson vacuum cleaner several times and despite it being "top of the line" it has some issues and I'm not elated about the money I spent on it. First, it's designed to stand upright on its own but the gadgetry that makes this happen isn't all that good. Be cautious, when putting it in the upright, stand on its own position, it frequently fails and tends to collapse falling backwards directly on the handle. I can see this eventually breaking the handle and shaft or causing unexpected pain to anyone struck by it. Suction is certainly very good, but it also has severe problems with certain types of carpet. My house is fully carpeted except for the kitchen/bathroom areas and although it does well with most of the carpets, it has serious issues with the medium pile, thick weave carpet in the master bedroom. Specifically, the design and function will not allow easy vacuuming on all carpets like you'd expect. It's almost as though the suction is so great on this type of carpet you can't move it and a weaker and/or older person would have serious issues using it. You would think the automatic floor adjusting function would allow for this, but it doesn't, and a manual changer should be a standard option. It also has some issues with area rugs and will grab and ball them up immediately. All said, it is a top of the line unit in certain respects but as with most everything, it has its issues that need to be considered before shelling out so much for one. I can't speak to the filters just yet so stay tuned. In the end, I'm sure I could have done better for much less even if it meant more manual adjustments and frequency of vacuuming.

You won’t be disappointed
I upgraded from my old Dyson DC33. This model is by far superior. I love this vacuum. Strong suction. Easy to push and maneuver around furniture. Assembly after removing it from the box is really easy.Minor complaints: You cannot tip it back to roll it from one area to another. It falls out of the upright locked position when tipped back. You have to pick it up and carry it. The cord is shorter than the DC33 by almost 10 feet.

It's a dyson!
Love my Dyson it really sucks, replaced my old Dyson which still works. this Dyson has twice the suction.Which is why other brands always compare themselves to a Dyson. Buy it you won't be sorry.

I loath this vacuum
I have 2 lrg shedding dogs, 1 small shedding dog, 1 shedding cat, and 2 females in the house with long hair. The machine sucks op the hair fine. But anything else fergetaboutit.Note: I clean the filters every weeks because we vacuum every day.The hose is a huge pain in the patootie. It's short and the plastic wand that fits inside is way too long to comfortably clean the couch with the couch attachment. Cleaning the edges of the room is ridiculous. The edger attachment is too wide and has a groove on the tip that creates a loss of suction.House disappointment from this company. Way too much for this poor design

I 💘 dyson products
I had the DC15 ,"the ball" for 17 years and it just went out. I purchased the slim bc I wanted something little lighter. It works really well and has great attachments. It does great with pet hair.
