These 2-inch swivel casters are an absolute game-changer! I bought them to upgrade a few pieces of furniture, and I couldn’t be more impressed with how smooth and easy they roll. These 2 inch caster wheels are of excellent quality and functionality. The casters are ball bearing so they swivel effortlessly. The wheels have a rubber outer circumference so they are noiseless and roll very well. The set I purchased did not come with locks and I knew that when ordering since I don't need to lock them. I will buy another set again if I need caster wheels for another item.

I have some chrome shelves that are approx 3-1/2' tall, and fit under some fixtures in my workshop. The wheels that come with the shelves are 4" diameter and make the shelving too tall to put anything on top of them. These casters replace the larger ones perfectly, and lower the whole shelf unit by almost 2" - which makes it much more useable to me. They thread into the shelving perfectly... the original casters have about a 1-1/2" thread vs. 1" here, but the threaded insert is still completely filled (the old casters stuck through the top by over 1/2") so these will be just as stable. The rubber coating on the wheel lets the wheel roll smoothly. My shelves aren't holding a lot of weight - the weight of the shelves themselves, are easily 80% of the total weight. For that purpose these work fine. If I were putting a lot more weight on it they would not be heavy duty enough... rated 80# per caster so 320# per shelf maximum, but that's ABSOLUTE max. I'd be comfortable at around 200# per set of four, personally. I bought the casters without locks, because my floor is level so the shelving isn't likely to move on its own. But I do want to be able to pull it out for cleaning & for maintenance.

These casters were easy to install on the cart I bought from the Cornwall truck. These cashiers are a great idea for this particular part which is not made by going well but my Cornwell dealer sold it to me. I love the way the car rolls around now. I would recommend these casters to anybody who needs larger smoother casters on there tool cart or box that has threaded studs in the wheels.

These are great, but they are coated in some kind of very toxic smelling chemical which smells much like the plastic bags that Amazon items are shipped in. That smell really was strong and concerns me, although I’m keeping the wheels since they will be used on shelving in the basement. But I’m sending a big heads up to those who are sensitive to chemicals.

The wheels are awesome to work with when wanting to lock shelving in place so it doesn't move.
