The Roast Iconic Oracle Deck: 30 Cards for Getting Wrecked by the Universe

Cute little deck at a reasonable price.
The cards are not numbered and are not in alphabetical order in the book⌠but there are only 30 cards so it isnât a huge problem. Most of the cards are super cute reminders to double check our selves and beware of the emotional bogs we can land in. Sadly, the author decided to use this as âher platformâ and inserted a couple of cards that have no meaning except to promote her political views/bias. Itâs unfortunate. I got these cards for me to explore and check my emotional selves, IMO it isnât the time or place for these cards. It might have been a more productive use of the authorâs energy to number the cards or put more content on how to use them in different ways. I will definitely be keeping these cards, but I would hesitate to buy other things from this author.

I love self deprecating jokes!
I love the uniqueness of the theme on these cards! Speaks to my natural proclivity for self deprecating jokes. I do, however, wish the card stock was a little sturdier (I'm the real Wreck it Ralph) and that the guidebook was numbered or had some sort of key to find explanations. Not a huge deal since there aren't many cards in the deck, but I just like to get wrecked by the universe and not have to search long and hard for the reason đ

Love it!
The decks were on point when I do my readings. I enjoy using the cards.

Less of a fun vibe, more of a negative vibe.
The vibe of these cards is less poking fun on ourselves, & more of a negative vibe & low key preaching of personal views on different things. The âwhite tearsâ picture for the privilege card was a nice subtle touch. To each their own, I guess, but this isnât the type of energy I like to mess with. Less hate, less preaching or pushing angry views of the world. More understanding and love for everyone in the world, thatâs how I roll anyways. These cards just arenât my vibe, and not for me.Sharing my review, not to send hate or ill will to the creator of this deck, but because I didnât know what it was, until I received it. I figured it would be helpful to anyone who might feel like me, and want an idea of what the cards entail. Weâre all different, and operating at different levels/frequencies on our journey. None lesser/better than the next. This was just not the deck for me.

Utter waste of money
First and foremost, there are only 30 cards in the deck. I read that in the description of the product before I purchased and it sounded like a reasonable number of cards until I received the deck and then realized itâs only, like, half a deck. Thereâs literally a lift they built into the box so that the box looks less empty when you open it. If you collect oracle card decks, youâll be very disappointed. Whoever put this deck out should not have published a deck of cards until they had a whole deck. In comparison to other oracle decks, this is not worth the money that theyâre charging because you are getting half of what you are expecting to get. There are not enough cards in this deck to justify the cost. Secondly, there is not one piece of guidance in these cards that you would want to guide you in every day life. They are very political and while I agree with the authorâs politics, acknowledging that we need to give land back to the indigenous people that we stole it from has absolutely nothing to do with my question about my romantic connection or whatâs going on with my job. The guidance or information provided in these cards isnât relevant to any every day topic that you might be asking an oracle deck about. Whoever had this idea for this deck, it was a dumb one. Donât waste your money.

Perfect for when you need a hit of reality
The Roast Iconic Oracle is perfect for when you just need a hit of reality, a bit of sass, or an element to ground an otherwise-traditional tarot reading. The cards themselves feel like moods drawn directly from the social media universe â all those cranky and complicated feelings we have when interacting with others in virtual space. The cards encompass moods big and small, but are decidedly modern in focus. Theyâre sassy and donât sugar-coat anything, so itâs recommended for those with tough skins and wry senses of humor. The Oracle is a lot of fun â one of the recommended uses is to clear your mind, ask what you need to know now, and draw a card. The cards can be a bit narrowly focused, not giving a whole lot of room for interpretation, and I struggled occasionally to connect them to my present circumstances. But when they hit, they were funny and made me think. My favorite use for these cards is as an adjuct to a traditional reading. I like to do something more in-depth, say, a Celtic Cross, and then pull one of these as a mood clarifier. Some really good nuggets of info shake out, and it helps to put an otherwise serious reading into perspective. The Roast Iconic is great for friends, parties, and solitary readers who donât take themselves too seriously. This is the Cool Kid of oracle decks â be prepared to get wrecked by the Universe!

Cute!!
I love the artwork throughout this deck, and throughout the packaging as well! Vibrant and simplistic designs, but still with plenty of good detail in the stylization. My only wish is for slightly more descriptive meanings of the cards, otherwise I really enjoy the snarky, to the point attitude this deck brings! Sometimes there's no better way to be heard.
