This is a well-designed and useful module. My intention is to use this to test concepts in data processing in near real time. Even though the Zynq processor family used here is pretty old (in FPGA terms) it still is very capable. If you’re buying this you’re likely either a student who will have help and school guidance, or a reasonably capable technical person. The learning curve is steep if you’re starting from scratch, so if this is a casual purchase and you’re not ready to invest the time to get useful results then, think twice. Digilent does a good job on their website of providing examples and tutorials, but don’t expect to just bang through the steps and be an immediate expert. There’s still gaps and you’ll have to do your own research to get a good design flow working to become productive.

I connected Zybo to a 5V 3.0 A power adapter, turned it on and it put on a fancy light display. Drilling four holes, I screwed the board to the transparent half of a CD case so I wouldn't touch and damage it by static electricity. With the help of copious documentation, I just got my first circuit design to synthesize with Vivado. I look forward to adding test circuits and loading my design into the FPGA. This should be fun, but it will be mainly a learning experience for me, a hardware neophyte.

Fast delivery and the board is perfect for my students. I'll be using it to develop projects before I provide my students with lab manuals for their class. Very happy with quick delivery and the product itself. It doesn't come with the cables so make sure to have 2 micousb cables for programming and power.
