Drinks After Work

This is a review of the deluxe addition of Toby Keith's Drinks After Work.I have all of Toby Keith's cds. I like them all. I always look forward to any new cd he puts out. This came out in 2013 and continues the roll he has been on for a bout twenty years now. The big hit was the title song Drinks After Work. Last Living Cowboy is my favorite song. There are three bonus tracks including Margaritaville done as a duet with Sammy Hagar which works better then you think it would. This is another good solid cd from Toby Keith.

Great songs, as usual. Love listening to "my" Toby Keith. Shut Up and Sit Down is hilarious and Drinks after work is the perfect synopsis of the 8-5 or 9-5 working day! The Other Side of Him is the story of seeing your lost love with a new man, and The Last Living Cowboy reminds us of those bygone days when there were MORE cowboys and how they are missed. Call a Marine is Toby's Tribute to the military on this CD and Chuckie's Gone a sad song of a missed band member. It never fails whenever I get a new Toby CD it takes awhile for the songs to settle in after I've heard them for 15 or 20 times, and then I pick up new tidbits in each song which makes me enjoy each CD even more everytime I listen to it.

Really enjoying this album, the title track is far from the best song (and is pretty low on my list - it wasn't written by Toby, and honestly I could tell the 1st time I heard it). Shut up and Hold on SHOULD have been the title track, best song on the album. The bonus track "Call A Marine"... you'd think Toby was a Marine, as a Marine I love this song - and my whole family sings it now too.Margaritaville - worst song on the album by far. What ever you did here Toby, please don't do so again. Thanks.

Bought this for my husband who is an absolutely toby fan to add to his growing collection of his cd's. He absolutely loves it and enjoys listening to it both in the truck and at home! Has some great songs that just make you want to sing a long to. Great gift and cd!

It is a typical Toby Keith CD. I like it, as I am fan. I have even seen him in concert several times. I just think his early CDs are better.

Toby Keith just keeps getting better and better with age. His Drinks After Work is like taking a sip of cold beer after a great exercise workout. It quenches the thirst and keeps you wanting more. Highly recommend this CD. It will make a great addition to your Country and Toby Keith collection of great Country music!

Not as good as some of his earlier work but still pretty good. He sounds like he didn't put a lot of effort into his vocals.
