Finally—Comfort, Confidence, and Zero Fuss. The Perfect Reusable Period Product!
As someone who’s always looking for eco-friendly, reusable menstrual products, I’ve tried nearly everything: Softdisc (back when it was Instead), menstrual cups like Diva Cup, and even period panties. Each had its benefits, but none were quite right—until now. I was an original Softdisc user, and while I liked the idea, removal was messy and awkward. The stiff rim and crinkly texture made it uncomfortable, and I dreaded fishing it out and risking a mess if I grabbed it wrong. Diva Cup? I could never get used to the stem—either too long and irritating, or too short and painful. One even got caught under my pelvic bone once. Never again. And as much as I love my period panties, I still often feel wet and need to change them frequently, especially on heavier days. So when I tried this Ecoblossom menstrual disc, I honestly didn’t expect it to solve everything—but it has. 💖 Why I love it: The super soft, moldable material makes insertion easy and comfortable It stays in place and molds perfectly to my body The removal tab is a game-changer—no more digging around or making a mess I truly cannot feel it at all once it’s in No leaking, even on heavy flow days 12 hours of protection = total freedom No irritation or dryness, even after hours of wear It’s easy to clean and comes with a handy cloth case. This is the first product that has combined comfort, leak protection, ease of use, and sustainability all in one. It’s gentle, intuitive, and it feels like it was actually designed with real people in mind—not just textbook anatomy.

The best option thus far
I hate tampons so I really wanted to find an alternative. This disc is better than the previous one I tried (Flex Disc. That one had no tabs and was single use). Keep in mind that these take practice and they're messy AF so only remove it in your home until you can figure out what works for you. I love the hook/loop to aide in removing this disc, but y'all, it's a damn massacre getting this thing out so do it in the shower! The first time I took this out, it was in the bathroom squatting over my pants and omg that was the absolute wrong way to do this. It got EVERYWHERE. The next time, I took it out in the shower and it was so much better!! Once it's in and it's in correctly, it's great!! You don't feel it at all. I'm gonna sleep in it tonight for the first time and will update my review. EDIT: My first night using this disc and woke up dry as a bone. Not a drop of blood anywhere! I decided to try taking the disc out while sitting on the toilet and that made a lot more sense than squatting in the shower every time I want to remove it. Removal was mess free and I was able to dump the contents right into the toilet. Super easy and I'm hoping this is always this easy because I'm done with tampons! Make sure you insert it with the tab right under your pubic bone though, otherwise you'll struggle getting the disc out. EDITING AGAIN TO ADD: Ok ladies, this thing definitely takes practice but it is worth it! This is my second period using it and this time is going much smoother than the last time, so you just have to figure out how this works best for you. I love that you can put it in and not worry about it for up to 12 hours. The easiest way I'm finding it take put it in is to fold it in half with the tab facing outward, squatting down, insert it then stand up to finish inserting it behind the pubic bone. Staying in a squatting position will make it harder for insertion. To take it out, do it while on the toilet, lean back a bit, reach for the tab and pull it out. Empty contents into the toilet and wash it out. I'll agree with others that the double rim is unnecessarily thick which makes it a bit difficult to fold up and shove up there, but it gets done. You just have to know when to angle up or down. 4TH ANF FINAL EDIT: I'm over a year in on using these. Invest the time to get used to these and you won't regret it. Taking them out and putting them in have become second nature. I don't feel them. I don't leak anywhere. They're amazing. I'm even adding a star to my rating.

I was a cup user and I love this so much more!
Are you looking into using an alternative to tampons? Are you new to discs and cups? If so, read this review to help you make the choice. I would like to firstly say, I recommend the disc over the cup 100%! This disc specifically: I love how soft and flexible it is but it is just a bit stiffer around the rim which I needed and it makes inserting it a lot easier. I love the tab which helps with locating and removing the disc a lot easier. It is recommended to change empty it every 12 hours but I accidently left it in too long a couple times and I still didn't have any leaks. I have a heavy period so that was a huge surprise. I also normally don't forget because tampons and cups are noticeably there and tampons caused me a lot of pain so for this to be so comfortable that I forgot it was there was AMAZING! I have a tilted uterus and I have no issues with this disc. Cups vs Discs: I stopped using tampons and went to cups first. The cups didn't work for me I couldn't get them in far enough, so they didn't sit comfortably and didn't suction good causing leakage all the time. It also caused pain but nothing like tampons did. I could also notice it was there all the time. Cups use suction to stay in and to form to your walls so it can catch everything. Since they use suction, you can always feel that slight pressure against your walls. If the tiny holes around the top get clogged, you have to make sure you clean those out or it won't allow the cup to suction. The cups are easier to insert and remove since they only go in a tiny bit and have a stem at the end. It's just like inserting and removing a tampon. You have to fold the cup (you can google the best folds.) but because of this I couldn't get the cup to unfold completely once it was in me therefore it couldn't suction properly, in turn causing leakage. The discs go all the way up in and sit right under your uterus so there is no pressure or pain. The placement also stops cramping and is so comfortable you don't even notice it is there. Putting it in is a lot easier then what you think. You squeeze and insert, Once you insert you do have to take your finger and push the one side up and tuck it behind the pelvic bone. You have to be really comfortable with yourself and also with blood because it can be messy and hard the first couple times but once you get it once it is super easy and fast after that. I also never get any blood on me now, I love that this disc has a hoop on it so it makes finding and removing the disc SUPER easy. If you pull the tab correctly it also makes it so the disc empties right into the toilet without getting any on yourself. I also love that you can also have intercourse with the disc in and there is absolutely no blood or mess! The position of your uterus could be an issue, but it is highly unlikely, You CAN use this with a tilter uterus, depending on which way it is tilter and how far. I could go on with information but if you are debating between the two as long as you are comfortable with inserting it into yourself then I would 100% say go with the disc!

Two discs for £14.99 on prime was the best value option I could find on amazon. These are oval silicon discs which are 7cm long 6.5cm wide and 4cm deep. They are soft and I experience no uncomfortable suction effect. The rim is more rigid so it's easy to fold and insert, and also stays rigid for emptying. It's a little thick to insert so you may need to use lubrication. I love the ring pull to get these out. They are soft and the material is flexible. They are a little big for me even though I have a high cervix. The end can slip out a little during the day and give me a bit uncomfortable feeling, but I think this is a sizing issue. I've not experienced any leaking with these, even if I'm coughing, laughing, or working in the garden. They are good value and if used for a long time, they are good for the environment too Recommend.

The rim is definitely firmer than any previous discs I’ve used, so if you think this would cause you pain then you may want to pass. I bought the smaller version and that firmer rim has made these the first discs that I’ve ever had 100% confidence that they’ll stay leak free all day. Softer versions have always had the possibility of untucking from behind my pelvic bone if I sneeze or something, but these stay firmly in place. Getting the correct size I think is probably more crucial with this disc than other softer ones, for a comfortable and secure fit. I’ve just ordered another two so I have plenty of spares for years to come.

As a cup user I thought it was time to try the disc for the well known extra advantage that they have. Insertion was very easy, so much easier than a cup and I had zero leaks with everyday activities. Removal is also much easier due to the fact that there is no suction. I think I'm coverted. I will probably mainly use the discs from now on 👌🏻 Also receiving two for such a low price js great 👌🏻👌🏻

I got these as back ups for my saalt disc as that does not have a pull out tab. These are very solid silicone and seem a lot bigger (standard size) compared to others. The rim is really thick and uncomfortable to insert. The silicone is so hard and inflexible. While the tab seems a good idea, while inserting it always wants to pop out. I tried pushing it into the silicone but it didn’t disappear meaning the disc didn’t sit correctly. I couldn’t even get it all the way in… Will be refunding and sticking to tab free discs
