The only recipe book I've read cover to cover
This book has great ideas to get more vegetables into your diet. It is absolutely readable, the photos are great and the recipes have hints and tips written in an entertaining and amusing way. I sat down to flick through and found myself reading each page with enjoyment!I could easily work my way through the recipes one by one, so I think this book will be used a great deal, unlike many that I have where I have one or maybe two recipes flagged and that's it.

Great recipes but Kindle version is hard to navigate.
This is a tremendous collection of yummy ways to eat veggies especially when you tire of salads! I would have given this a five stars excel as far as I can see, there is no table of contents with hotlinks to the recipes, so it's hard to move around between the recipes. Other than that, fantastic effort, Carrie. Thanks so much!

Taste Bud Allert
A recently discovered gluten sensitivity has led me on a voyage of discovery of new things to eat. I have made 4 of the sides in this book so far and all are absolutely fabulous.Had to collect some different cooking ingredients, but if you need to cook different, you can't do it with the same old ingredients. As I ate these sides with my meals, I could not believe what I was eating was healthy. I made the Mushroom Risotto for a pot luck lunch at my place of work, and everyone loved it. Most had no idea that the risotto was really cauliflower.I'm making another tonight to go with dinner, but haven't decided which it will be. I cannot recommend this book enough.

It still has good recipes in it
I would have rated 5 stars but there is no nutritional information and it's important since following the ketogenic diet. It still has good recipes in it. I'll just have to figure out myself-tedious.

Not a 5 Star!
Overall I liked it pretty much. Would have liked to see a bigger variety of vegetables featured however. Also would like to have seen more recipes.

Tasty Low Carb Recipes!
If you are looking for tasty low carb recipes you will love Carrie Brown's books. Smoothies and sides has some great recipes, the pages are well laid out and the instructions clear. Just wish the nutritional information for each recipe was included. I understand that it could vary depending on brands of ingredients but even having a rough idea would be nice.

Expensive book full of bland recipes
This is a pricey Kindle book for the small number of recipes that you get. If you buy Carrie's other book, then you will quickly see that she has copied and pasted some sections of the book from one to the other. I've made a number of the smoothies and some of the vegetable dishes and so far, I find them bland and disappointing. For instance, I made the spinach dish last night that Carrie raves about and my family found it tasteless. (I weighed and measured ingredients carefully and followed the instructions to the letter.) The range of vegetables in her dishes is also quite limited. She admits in the book that she doesn't like spicy food, which makes me wonder if she thought about what her readers might want when she was coming up with the recipes for this book.

I've gone from never drinking a green smoothie to drinking one every day!
I decided I needed to increase my vegetable consumption, so I bought this book for the vegetable recipes. I've ended up making more smoothies. Everyone of them are delicious! I've liked every vegetable recipe I've tried. I can't say why but they are all even better the second day.

A-MA-ZING
Well, I have always liked most veggies and I have always eaten them. But, let's be honest, steamed, boiled or roasted, that was the limit of my preparation in most cases. I'm not good at knowing which herbs and spices go with what foods, so I tended not to bother, I have only just started working my way through Carrie's latest book, but WOW, she's done it again. Her mix and match of different veggies, with say bacon, or pears or spices, make each meal time a veritable feast. I can't wait to try the rest. Who knows, I may even get to like those few veggies I've never cared for yet.Go Carrie - can't wait for your next magic recipes.
