Now I am balanced
For years friends have remarked that my left shoulder was lower than my right, and it was visible in photos as well as when I stood before a full-length mirror. My tailor remarked that my left leg was a half inch shorter than my right, which is not per se unusual, and would tailor my trousers accordingly. Several weeks ago, I ordered this half inch lift, and the results are substantial. After placing it in my left shoe my shoulders are now even, and my hips are not slightly tilted to the left. These are well made, but very slightly uncomfortable if you put them without a more giving cover. However, I quickly got used to their being firm, there was zero chafing with regular socks, but my greatest worry was that they would slip out of place over a day of walking. Not so, because they stay put perfectly due to being longer than just a heel riser, but not so long that one's foot is cramped at the ball and toe of the foot. Only downside is that you get two left and two right, and I only needed the left. I will have to order again to get two more left, so I have enough for topsiders, running shoes, etc., although they can easily be pulled out of one shoe and put into another; there is no adhesive to deal with. This was a game changer. I suppose if gaining height is your only need then use both, but if you have one leg shorter than the other (and you might not realize it) then these are excellent to balance your posture and make walking more fluid and comfortable.

Helpful after adapting.
I have one leg shorter than the other from a birth defect and have known for years that I needed a heel lift. I haven't used the ones that I have had in the past because they kept slipping around and were just a nuisance. After a doctor's visit showed that my 48 year old right knee was in the early stages of arthris because of the lack of alignment, I realized I needed to do something. I ordered these because of the other reviews and I found them to be everything that everyone said: the gel was comfortable, the yellow spot was not. They didn't smell bad after wearing, either. It was an ok answer, but not the best. Then I made a couple of adaptations. 1. I pulled out my shoe's insoles and placed the heel lift in and then replaced the shoe's insole. This not only helped make them less noticable, they also prevented them from slipping. 2. As I only needed one heel lifted, I turned the other one over and used it in another shoe. 3. I first tried to slip it in to fit the form of the shoe (right lift turned upside down to align with the left foot shoe). That made the yellow middle hurt like crazy. I then just turned it up with the cushion side down. It didn't fit exactly, but with the shoe's original insole above it, it wasn't noticeable at all. 4. I will note that I used them in my dress shoes and my tennis shoes both. The tennis shoes had their insoles replaced by Dr. Scholl's athletic insoles. The tennis shoes with upgrades insoles were perfect. I'm going to change the dress shoes out to better insoles. All in all, this was one of the best adaptions I have ever made. Just spoke to my Orthopedic doc and he said I was a genius. As much as I pay him, I'm sure he's very smart. Good lifts... I recommend them. I'm buying another set because I have 4 sets of shoes.

Very good except I wish the base was a bit wider for more stability
I feel that these are about 90% of the way to perfect. Comfortable for all day wear, but just needs a slightly wider base for more stability on uneven terrain. If you like to walk uneven trails this isn't great for that, but works perfectly well for flat/normal terrain.

Adds significant comforting cushioning to your feet in addition to adding height
I suddenly started having pain in the area of my Plantar Fasciitis –like in the heel of my foot – when I worked on my feet all day. Seeking relief, I bought four different heel-cushioning products from Amazon: MyFootSupply Gel Heel Pad Medium, Spenco Rx Heel Cushion, Sorbothane Heel Pad, and this product, Half Elevator Insole for Men - 1/2 inches (A pack of 2 Pairs). Out of the four products I bought, the Half Elevator Insole was the best. Not only does this product cushion your heel and make you a little taller, but also you get TWO pairs for a very reasonable price! In addition, this insert is virtually invisible in most shoes, is comfortable, and stays in place nicely. I bought two more pairs of these. Five stars! The Sorbothane Heel Pad stays in place nicely, and gives me a tiny bit more height, but doesn’t do anything to prevent my foot pain. If you have blue or purple shoe soles, this item blends in … otherwise it doesn’t. Three stars. The Spenco Rx Heel Cushion does shift around a little, but it did help my plantar foot pain. It adds a little height to you as well. Four stars. The MyFootSupply Gel Heel Pad was the most disappointing insert I purchased. Initially, it feels great and you might think that these inserts will help. After working on my feet all day, my Plantar hurt like heck with these inserts. I think that these gel heel pads concentrate your weight-per-square-inch to the heel of your feet. In addition, they slide around too much, requiring repositioning. Two stars.

Easy to add a bit of height; comfortable.
When it comes to my height I lost the genetic lottery. The average height in the United States in 2015 is approximately 5"10" for males. I am not that... I figured that adding a little height would be fun. A half-inch isn't much, but I figured I would try it out just for fun. I bought these and got two pair. The fit into my dress shoes easily. I slipped them into some boat shows, as well as just some slip-on dress shows. They do fine in each of them. I was worried that if I could not loosen ties that my feet would not fit, but that was not a problem. Them being half-soles isn't a problem. It took a few days to get used to them, but otherwise they worked just as I wanted. Now, I don't take them out. They provide support and are just part of my shoe. At this point, I have had them for a year, and they probably are a little flattened compared to how they started, but not much. I am likely going to order a new pair soon. I suppose my only complaint of these, which is a minor one, is that the half sole does slip some when you go to put them on. Every now and then, when I go to put on my shoe I have to take it off again and adjust them before putting it back on. Once the shoe is on, I never have an issue with slipping so that works well.

Ok but I wish they were a full sole.
I tried the 3 layer insole and though I found them pretty comfortable, they really do not fit any of my loafers. These are great as it does not feel like my foot is coming out of the shoe on every back step. I do find the a little bit harder than the 1st layer of the 3 layer insole, but not noticeable after a while. What I do notice is the fact that they are only a half sole. I can feel the edge around the ball of my foot. While not painful, this is rather uncomfortable. It feels like there is something stuck inside your shoe. Maybe if they were a full size sole it would not feel as uncomfortable. I also wonder if they could have been a little higher, maybe 3/4 inch.

Good results!
They were bought out of curiosity. I have always been satisfied with my height. But wondering just how it would feel to be a bit taller and how other people would react was worth checking these out. It was only $10.xx out the door. Great deal because you are getting 2 pairs out of it. So why not have a little fun. Half an inch isn't obvious to others. I have seen height increasing shoes worn by men and those look obvious. My shoes do feel a bit more snug and this is main reason why I went with 1/2. Can't imagine how tight your shoes would be if having one inch increase or more. There are also no signs of your feet sticking out from the back of your shoes. The added cushioning also made the bottoms of my feet more comfy. I cannot really say how well they will perform under more intensive activities. As for regular use they feel great so far. After a while I will probably forget that I am using them. Things like this is something I'd like to keep to myself. No point in telling people you are using them unless they can really benefit from it. So, overall the results I am getting are positive for the very short time I have with them. I feel better and look better. I find it incredible how so little can get you quite a bit in physically and mentally. Wished I would have found out about them a long time ago. If I had to say something bad, it would probably have to be about becoming dependent on them.

Well made, comfotable and a true 1/2" lift
Very good, would buy wider if available even if I had to trim them.

Honeycomb started disintegrating
The under structure started breaking down after a few months, but did not quite affect my wear, but I'm sure I'll need to change it out within 6 months.

Buen producto para elevar NO amortiguar
Escribo la reseña para que no cometan el error que yo cometí. El producto es EXCELENTE para dar altura pero no esta hecho para amortiguar la pisada. Es muy rígido.
