Does the job! Simple, Efficient, and inexpensive.
I bought these brackets to make a simple firewood rack and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I was able to make multiple racks of varying sizes, all depends on the length of the 2x4's you use. My only concerns were that I had to shave down the 2x4's to allow them to slide through the bracket easier since the fit is very tight but overall I found that to be a good thing as I prefer a snug fit for stability. Also the paint job seems rather thin so I was worried about rust over time but I added an extra coat of Rustolium spray paint just in case.I am pleased with my purchase, These brackets saved me a lot of money as compared to purchasing a pre-fab firewood rack.

well sized for PT lumber
I used these to create a double sided, roofed, fire-wood stacking frame. They are well sized for PT lumber and kept the uprights solid and straight. Saved me a bunch of time and fasteners. I did go up seven feet in the front and so used plywood triangle gussets in all the upper corners for stability. Nice product. I would buy it again.

Industrial Chic
I've built 6 racks for 16" split firewood using these brackets and have been pleased with them. I also used them to build a table that keeps pellets for my wood pellet stove off the floor. This (along with a grain scoop) really helps minimize back pain when loading the pellets into the pellet stove. The table was built using treated 2x4 pine for the frame, 1x4 cedar for the top, and common deck screws. It can easily hold 200 pounds (5 bags of wood pellets).A couple observations:* I used treated 2x4 pine for both projects and found that some freshly treated (wet'ish) boards needed to be sanded to fit into the brackets, while fully dry boards needed a shim to hold them tight and square until I got the screws in place. A touch of wood glue helped hold the shims in place after construction but I'm bit sure this was really necessary.* I built 2 sizes of wood racks 6 foot long by 4 foot high by 16 inch wide, and 8 foot long by 6 foot high by 16 inch wide. The brackets seemed best designed for the smaller 6'x4' wood racks. I'm considering adding some wire cable to the top of the larger 8'x6' racks to help keep them square.* Strongly suggest adding AT LEAST 2" of extra width for additional stability, especially if you live in a very windy area. For a 16" rack I cut my cross members at 20". I might go up to 22" or 24" if the next 80+ MPH wind storm knocks them down.* For the small racks I added one additional cross member to help carry the weight of the wood. For the large racks I added 2 additional cross members. Used a common "L" bracket to hold these in place (see picture).* The kids really appreciated free FireBlox fire starter samples that came with the brackets. They were perfect for starting a campfire during a cold, drizzly night near the top of a Colorado mountain. Don't know if these samples will continue to come with the brackets in the future.

You do โt Get whatโs advertised
This was very deceiving. It said quantity 8 and you would think that would be 8 sets! It was 8 individual brackets and since you need four for one rack itโs only enough for two racks! After paying this terrible price plus $15 shipping this ended up a total rip off.

They recommended treated lumber for a tighter fit
They recommended treated lumber for a tighter fit. Bought that, it was too tight. Took my angle grinder to shave down the ends of the 2X4's so they would fit. What should have taken me 10 min., took me several hours. Aggravating, but they are great now that that they are assembled.

Best brackets for firewood rack, PERIOD
These work great. Wanted to construct two racks to store firewood. Looked at other options and picked these brackets based on reviews. I was not mis-led and not disappointed. These brackets work as stated. Note that the cautions about fitting lumber are valid. Brand new, treated 2x4s will just barely fit in the openings, older drier slide in easily. Be very careful about getting 2x4s that aren't curved or twisted or you will be struggling to get the brackets to slide on. I made two racks that are 50-60 inches in length, 40 inches high and 15 inches deep. A single wood screw for each bracket is sufficient but there are holes for more if you want it really secure.

Nice sturdy brackets. See my pic for a combination wood and kindling holder.
These were a breeze to setup. Nice sturdy steel, no sharp corners, generally well manufactured.Made in USA which is a bonus.I used CCA \ pressure treated 2X4's (you probably should too as long as you keep your wood outside). Fit nice and snugly into the brackets. 4X4's on the bottom are probably a good idea to keep the steel off of the ground and away from any moisture.I got the set of 8 but only used 6 of them (see my pic). I wanted to be able to hold kindling and smaller sticks as well as regular logs in one unit which would sit on my covered porch for easy winter access since its close to my wood stove. Good idea (at least I think so!).5 stars from me.

Works Great!!!
Worked great out of box no shaving to fresh cut 2x4's jus stick them in and go.The vertical 2x4's need jus a few taps for the tight fit but they go in all the way an is a great fit an finish. If you do use a longer distance like 12ft like i have i suggest getting some small wood chips or some small 1inch to 1.25" tall wood block to place along the sitter to stop excessive sag if you plan to stack fairly high an wet wood which is heavier.I put chips under mine since its stacked on cement to brace the center an couldnt be happier.Overall great product!!!๐๐๐
