Quality of the tool is great and should last me for some time

I really like these chisels: they are sharp and well polished out of the package. I've used them in up to two layers of 10-12 oz veg tan and they've held up well so far. I suggest either rubbing them on some paraffin wax or dipping them in beeswax to slightly lubricate them so they are easier to extract from the leather. The one small drawback is the handles are so smoothly polished, that it's hard to grip them, both to extract from the leather, but also to keep them from twisting slightly in your hand when driving into leather. This issue is most commonly seen with the single hole, and one could argue that instead of punching, just use an awl, but I'm a little picky and like all the holes to be made with irons so they are exactly the same size. Great set I'll buy again if they ever fail on me.

Great little set. I wish they were a little larger for my large hands, but seem to be well made, and really sharp. I would recommend.

For what it costs. It's usable. I would pay more if the irons were a bit taller and heftier.

I've used these twice and have already broken the ends on two of them. The metal does not hold up to even medium pounding using a 1lb leather mallet on a piece of leather, sitting on top of another thick piece of leather on top of my tooling marble. Maybe I just got a bad batch, but I won't be wasting my money again to find out.

Im going to start by saying that i am a tool and die maker and NOT a leatherworker. That being sait these punches seem adequate at what they do. My issue is that there is multiple descriptions of the steel from high speed steel to white steel and that had created an expectation of a better alloy and hardness than what i got. This unfortunately will translate in a faster wear and loss of the sharpness of the edge.
