The Middle: The Complete Eighth Season

This DVD set was an awesome value.

While the discs (manufacture-on-demand CD+R discs) were in acceptable condition, the case/packaging for these discs was cheap and broken in several places. I found my own replacement case because I doubt returning and exchanging the product would provide any better results. These manufacture-on-demand products are cheaply made, yet cost more than similar DVD sets. It may be good for the publisher … but it’s not good for the consumer.

If you like The Middle, you'll like the continuing saga. And, only one more season (9) to go. We have enjoyed the tale of the Heck family from Season 1, and own them all on DVD. We're looking forward to completing Season 8 in a few more weeks, and then we'll start at the beginning and watch an episode at a time until we can get to Season 9 (yet to come). The Hecks provide a generally kind view of an (at times) slightly over the top caricature of a typical family... with quirks. Almost every episode inspires real laughter, sometimes a bit of insight too close to reality for comfort, but almost always with a degree of respect for the family as an institution. Occasionally a bit "off" but not for long. If you like any of the seasons, you'll probably like them all.

This is by far the best season of the most underrated show, the Middle! Considering I made this purchase just for the heck of it, from the first season 8 episode of "The Core Group" to the season finale entitled "Fight or Flight," each episode is filled with a variety of pure Heck craziness. Whether it's Brick and his obsession with fonts, Sue in love with a designated driver or Axl trying to get away from his family, this season is a great add to your home video collection for those cold winter days, rainy days or when you just want to relax and unwind for quality family time. Do yourself a favor and buy this season. You will not be disappointed!

i know the show was on television but i did not know what the show was about . I really don't watch television at all but when i watch the middleseason 1 i totally loved it this sitcom really got my attention and how funny it was and the real issue that family's have to deal with what i really likeabout the show at the beginning of each episode there is always some type of family problem with the hecks but at the end of the show you reallysee the problem get resolved i hope there is a season 9.

We have not watched all of the episodes yet, because we were watching all the previous years from beginning to end. So we are just now watching season 8, but The Middle continues to uplift most of the time with love and humor and good writing most of the time and great acting from some of the most wonderful actors and actresses!!
