Works very well on long straight runs
Works very well for long straight runs from outside the house heading back towards the dryer. Will go around a 90 deg bend but don't expect it to go around multiple bends like the setup in my Father's house - that is just expecting too much. Long reaches from inside the house are awkward because you have up to 20 feet of rod waving around - works best if you keep adding sections as you work further into the duct. Rods snap together very well, a little bit hard to separate them again, really need three hands.Did a great job of getting damp matted fiber out of our vent duct - and the amount of stuff it pulled out was kind of amazing and kind of disgusting at the same time. Nice knowing that the duct is clean and the dryer is working much less time now to dry a load of towels or sheets.

Worked Great
I’m very happy with this tool. My dryer vent is about 15’ long. It has to get through half my garage and has one 90 degree angle and one 45. This thing spun right through with no snags. It pushed a good amount of lint through then I ran the dryer with no bird cap on the end and it pushed out all of the loose lint. I found the best method was to push through one or two rods at a time and keep adding until the brush exits the other end. I did switch from a drill with a chuck to one with a quick release because it was easier to add new lengths with the drill attachment off the drill. I would recommend this to anyone with a long vent that’s difficult to clean.

Works great, make certain you measure distance to clean
This thing worked phenomenally well at cleaning out the dryer vent that runs up to our roof. I have run other cleaning brushes through manually on prior occasions and thought I had done a decent job cleaning the lint out. I was wrong. I don't think the vent tube has been this clean since it was new. Dryer works more efficiently, clothes get dry faster, life is good. One word of caution, measure your distance well. I eyeballed mine and ended up shoving an extra section into the pipe which knocked the pipe loose from the roof connector. No damage since the cleaning rod sections are super flexible, just an embarrassing trip to the crawl space to reconnect the pipe at the vent assembly.

Good Home Owner Tool
Admittedly you are not going to use this very often but the first time you do you may be surprised how much lint it removes. I'll bet the house we bought had not been cleaned in at least 20 years. Easy to connect the pieces together. Set your drill to low and use a low screw stop setting. Rods are indeed very flexible and can make 90 degree turns with ease. My vent had multiple 90 and 45 degree turns. No problems. Until I hit a blockage about 12 feet in at a 90 elbow. Could not access the vent from its roof exhaust location. Removed all I could prior to this elbow. If this happens to you check YouTube for examples of using a yard leaf blower. I was skeptical and worried about potentially making the blockage worse by compaction but WOW it worked great for me. Then, I had a mess on the roof I had to clean up.

Need to know
When I opened the set had three sticks that would not work with ends falling off, female fitting not cut right, or male spring ball missing. Was able to get what I needed done with a previous set I bought 4 years ago. Would not really recommend this set unless you are going to buy multiple sets. I know I will be looking for a different set.

It Helped
Having this tool helped me clean out a fairly long dryer vent. Using the drill is tricky. You've got to go really slow. I also just shoved it in manually and pulled it back and forth. What helped the most was when I took my Ego blower (that I use with my yard work) and put it over the dryer vent hole in the laundry room and turned it on full blast. Where the blower meets the floor, I wrapped a wet towel around it to seal the hole so I wouldn't get any blowback. My blower is really powerful and it blew wads of lent on the back porch where the dryer vent exits the house. But it helped having the REALFLO tool to break it up and loosen it from the walls of the vent tubing.

Lint Brush Extension Connections
We cleaned the lint out of my daughter's dryer exhaust which was approx. 26' long. I read previous reviews which mainly pointed out the difficulty of attaching and detaching the 2' shaft extensions. When I received the product I put together the sections and yes, they were difficult to take apart. I sprayed the ball/spring joints with a small amount of WD-40 and also used a small flat punch I had in my toolbox to press the balls against the spring loaded sockets. The punch worked better that the tool provided. The process worked a lot better using this method to attach and detach the shaft extensions. The more I used this process, the better it worked. We got s lot of lint out using a heavy duty shop vac to suck out the lint. Other word of advice; clean the shop vac filter often or you will dust the house like we did.

Cheap construction
The main reason I went with this product was for the “quick connect” feature. I was disappointed when it arrived to find out that the construction of the product was cheap. The “quick connect” sticks were very difficult to detach from each other, cancelling out the whole purpose of having quick connect. The mechanism is set up with buttons instead of the traditional screw on, my buttons were very sticky and didn’t want to push all the way through to complete the disconnect. I wouldn’t recommend this product, as I have returned in.
