DVI Splitter 1x2 1 In 2 Out 2 Ports 1080P DVI Switchers Video Splitter for TV Monitor PC

I tried it with various resolutions, seems to work fine. The mystery is what does the mode button do? No information in the tiny manual that comes with the splitter. It indicates the button is EDID mode. I'm not sure if that switches which input it gets the EDID from, or does a mix or ??? Pressing it seems to stop my lower resolution monitor from working, so I'm guessing it swaps inputs for the EDID, but that's inconclusive. Pulling power from the splitter and restoring it seemed to reset it, so it doesn't seem to be a stored setting.
