Lactase Enzyme 360 Caplets Generic Lactaid Original Strength

This is the second time I've purchased this product from this seller, Park Lane Super Mart. The order was delivered as promised but although it's sold from them the order was fulfilled by Amazon as was the first order and I am a Prime su bscriber so I'd expect to receive my order 2 days from ordering. The bottles are sealed and they were securely wrapped together for shipping. I placed the order 12/26/18 and the expiration is September, 2020. I make sure any lactase enzyme product I buy is 9,000 FCC lactase units because that is the usual dose per my doctor. I've known I'm lactose intolerant for over 10 years so I know what works and doesn't as well as what dairy products need only 1 tablet and which ones have a higher lactose content and therefore need 2 or 3 tablets. I also know that if I continue eating a dairy product beyond 15 or 20 minutes I need to take another dose. I've wondered why the directions on this product say to take 3 tablets except that it's because some products have only 3,000 FCC lactase per tablet so I'd need to take 3 of them to equal the minimum dose I'd need to be effective.

Reasonable price and effective

I typically need somewhere around 6 lactase pills of 9,000 FCC units to make it through a meal with a near guarantee I won’t need to destroy a bathroom afterward. Whenever I order lactase, I always look for the 9,000 FCC units. I saw it on these, but didn’t notice that the serving size is 3 pills. After a prolonged period of destroying bathrooms and nearly becoming convinced I needed to see a medical professional, I noticed the issue. I’d been taking 1/3 the dosage I usually need. With these pills at 1/3 strength I’d have needed 18 (!!!!!) pills with each meal. That is utterly ridiculous. For someone whose mildly lactose intolerant it might be okay, but for the amount of enzyme I need to be able to process dairy, this is a no-go. I greatly prefer not having to tear open a ton of individually wrapped pills, but I can’t take that many in one go. I already take 2-3 in one swallow out of impatience and end up choking about 5% of the time, and I don’t have the patience or fortitude to deal with this low dosage.

Follow directions no stomach pains or inconveniences

I got a roommate recently who told me she was Lactose intolerant. I found out that means stinky poo & farts. I thought that was just a milk thing. Anyway, we both love cheese, cottage cheese, ice cream, milk, sour cream & yogurt. She takes them all the time to be more ladylike. I don't take them, because it doesn't really bother me. But we've bought a bunch of these bottles over the last two years, and I guess we'll keep buying them. Ladies wanna be ladylike, I guess.

I prefer our grocery stores low-fat cottage cheese, which is really exceptionally good. But it does seem to have more lactose than my stomach sometimes will agree with. I can chew one or two of these tablets and eat cottage cheese or drink a glass of milk if no lactose-free milk is available. If you love dairy products but they don't love you this is a good assist.

These pills have the same 9000 FCC units as Lactaid but they are cheaper. It seems like a good deal to me. The only difference is that these pills are not chewable. I think that this means they will not be available to your system as quickly since you won't be chewing them (they taste TERRIBLE!). Still, they have been working for me and I take the same amount of these as I took with Lactaid. You just save money.

Family member who does not tolerate dairy well yet yearns for double cheese pizzas and real-dairy ice cream. This works and was good value.
