Does this bleach disinfect like regular Clorox?

NO- it has ZERO disinfecting power, it ONLY deodorizes and helps clean, but the level of chlorine (not even listed on the packaging) is far too low to disinfect anything, even hard surfaces.

Will this get rid of mold and does it have chlorine in it?

Ive used it in mold before and had no issues. Yes it has chlorine in it.

Is bleach a safe investment for retirement?

Caustic soda would be a better choice.
