This pointer pen works like a charm. It does just what it's supposed to do, and I've had no problems connecting it to different laptops for presentations.I like the USB device that lets the pointer communicate with the laptop. It's stored in the base of the pointer when not in use, and it's held in its storage port with a magnetic lock to hold it in until you pull it out to use with the laptop. It's easy to pull out, but it doesn't fall out by accident. The driver for this USB device loads almost instantly, and it works perfectly to move from one PowerPoint chart to another or to go back to an earlier chart. It's totally intuitive, and even an old dog like me can learn this new trick with no problem.The laser also does what it should do. It's bright enough to use in a partly lighted room at distances of more than 20 or 30 feet, and it stays focused rather than spreading out over that distance.I keep a spare battery with the device in case I need it during a presentation, but so far, the initial battery still works.I recommend it for anyone who wants a fine piece of equipment, with human factors that are intuitive, convenient, and easy to use.

It took a good 10 minutes to figure how to use. But that’s my fault, I didn’t read the instructions. But it’s a good product

I loved using this to teach my classes. However the pen clip is too loose so it kept falling off my lanyard and shirt. Unfortunately it fell off during one of my classes and was picked up by somebody else and never returned, so I had to buy another one after only having it for a week

Compared at least to earlier, similar-looking 5 button wireless presenters, it claims enhanced range (haven't tested it yet); and it adds double-click and/or extended-depress functionality to some keys, plus more programmability. On the other hand, the programmability is still rather limited, and is not simple to set. Seems like it should take only a tiny bit of ROM in the receiver dongle to greatly increase the range of characters that can be programmed to the keys, which would make it much more versatile.
