D-Link DCS-8000LH Single Pack

I bought this model to replace some older cameras that stop working after a power fluctuation and would not reconnect. I especially like this cam as it always reconnects after a power problem. Clear, crisp image and easy to install.

I tried 2 different D-link apps. The recommended app couldn't scan the code and doesn't list the camera as a possible option for manual install.I tried using a second D-link app. The QR-code scans but the device still isn't found. When using the Manual option - I type in the Pin code and try to hit the Next button but nothing happens.I tried using a second device to attempt the setup. In either automatic or manual mode it asks me to wait for a green light (which the camera doesn't have) and in manual mode after selecting the camera model the app tells me to plug in an ethernet cable which this camera does not support.The link to the manual I found on their website was broken.

Works as expected and picture quality is good. I will say the app lags often and 1/5 times the app won't connect with the camera and you have to retry. Overall that camera picture quality is good and the camera is very small.

Perfect little camera, is great for monitoring our kitchen and front door of our apartment. I love it and plan on buying another for other parts of our apartment

I was extremely disappointed to learn (after buying this camera) to discover that, unlike the 18 other D-Link cameras that I've bought, it's not compatible with iSpy for recording. Supposedly there are URLs available to get around that limitation but I'm still looking for them.

I really like the small size of the camera. It was also easy to setup via the app. I am really disappointed in the email alerts. It sends a link to the live camera view only, no picture is included. I have a DCS-930, 932 and 933 that do more. They can send pictures of what the alert was for. The 933 can also send a video of what it saw. This is a live only view camera. Very disappointing. It was an impulse buy when the price dropped and I should have researched it more before buying. I am considering sending it back.
