Pacon Railroad Board

The item description says these are 4 ply, 17pt, caliper poster board with smooth finish. I suppose I should have googled what that really meant! Had I done so, maybe it would have told me this is more like large-sized, heavy construction paper an not like the poster boards I routinely purchase at the store. If you're looking for real poster board with the smooth and slightly glossy finish, this is not it. The finish is just like construction paper, which doesn't really work well with markers and paint, in my opinion. The colors were good, but I wouldn't say "vibrant" as described. I was in a pinch, so I didn't return them and, for the price, they were okay, but I wouldn't purchase them again.

I am a teacher and I love having my students express their ideas, individually and in groups, in many different ones. One of those ways is creating a display outlining their thinking on a math problem, etc. I wasn't expecting much from this product, since the price is pretty low, but I figured it would do the job. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that the poster boards were better quality than I expected. Think poster board construction paper...so you have the nice variety of colors and the sturdiness of a regular poster board. I also don't care for the "shiny" side of typical poster boards, and these don't have that either.

The photo only shows 4 colors, but the set I got hasBlack, brown, dark pink, light blue, orange, yellow, dark blue, orangey red, light brown and green.The posterboard is a bit thinner than the stuff I got from the local big box store, but also about one third the price. Fine for all the projects kids have to do for school, or anything that will hang inside on a wall not sturdy enough to make stand alone signs.It does have a sticker on one side of each board, which is annoying.

What it's Not is Poster board it's descent construction paper. It's not the colors listed. I had blk, brown, light blue, dk blue, lt pink, dk pink, dk green, yellow, red, orange. So, not what was in the description nor shown in picture. Didn't Matt to us but caution if it does to you. Otherwise no fading or damage. Three stars for fibbing.

Great pack, but the poster board fades very quickly in the sunlight.

I grew tired of going to our local hobby supply store for school project poster board - at $1 per sheet no less. This had ALL the colors, good thickness (not super thick, still able to easily roll but holds up to glue etc. and no shipping with Prime.

We used this for my son's third birthday party- royal ball themed. We used these poster boards to cut out "shields" that the kids used to help fight dragons (I blew up balloons and taped pictures of dragons on them- they used their plastic swords and shields). The material held up really well.

These are great. We used them for a Parent-Teacher family program so that extended family members could see what my niece and nephew have been studying in the various subjects this year. The kids loved preparing the materials.

It was exactly what I needed.
