It was a great read

Who likes reading a textbook? LOL But written well and learned a lot from it.

In WAY better shape than expected. Glad I went this way to save some money.

There isnt really much to say about this. I got the used paperback book, and the content was decent. I was a bit sad that the cover was covered with a huge amazon sticker, but it really did not affect what was in the inside. I did not like how my book had a lot of random highlights, and how dirty it looks, but it was half off so I could put up with that. The paper cover is also very thick, which is nice because it protects the inside text.Please note, I am reviewing the actual physical book, not what's inside it.

Used condition. totally reusable. a waste of time for me because my professor never assigned any readings out of it, though...

This book was purchased (not rented). It was listed as in “good condition” but was not at all. We need the book immediately or I would return. I’m hoping the spine that is already splitting will hold together for the semester.

It saved me $100. It was highlighted a little bit and had scuffs but I don't mind that at all. 100% satisfied

I purchased this book for a specific class this semester in college. My personal preferences for history books, however, tend to be books focused on certain events in history or certain people (such as Albert Marrin's works.) As such, I prefer more in-depth studies of individual events, followed by a thorough analysis of how they fit in with other historical events.This book was not as engaging as other history textbooks I have had the chance to read or use for study. In places, the text is not as clear as I would have liked (or hoped of a history book), and subtle word cues make me feel as if the author occasionally slips into bias or isn't sure of the facts at times, but in general Mr. Strayer does a good job of giving a basic idea of how different events in world history interact and affect each other.The text is not as enjoyable to read as other history books I have read, and occasionally falls short of the goal of concisely stating the interplay of events. However, it does a good job with the basics. I would certainly recommend that the student reinforce their studies of world history, using this book, with other sources, such as history texts and articles.
