There is not much to how these devices work, the needle has a spring which is very quickly pushed outward by the pen. Because of the simple design these pens don’t need to be very special to work. Professional units will have better moving parts and motors that will make them last way longer but for small jobs these will work just fine. This kit includes two batteries and several individually sealed needles. The pen is pretty thin so it’s very easy to hold, it’s like holding a thick marker. The batteries are removable and have a built in micro usb connector for charging, it’s an outdated connector but I guess it works fine. I got the pen to use with a beginner kit that I got a while ago and it’s been working fine, I’m just doodling on yellow practice sheets. The only issue I had with my kit was that the connector on one of the batteries was not lined up correctly for the plug to fit but it was easily rotated In place with a small pick. Overall the pen is pretty nice.
