Do you need a good tension rod that looks good and is sturdy? Than look no further than this here rod. I needed a tension rod for my bedroom door to hang blackout curtains as I sleep through the day. I live in an apartment and didn’t want the adhesive or screws to ruin the doorframe so I stuck this sucker up there and tightened it up real good. I cannot close my door to keep my bedroom dark because of the 12 pound cat the rules the home. I kid you not, this cat jumps like a kangaroo to the top of this curtain and swings around like Tarzan on his way to meet Jane Porter. This curtain rod has yet to fall and has stood the test of time. I highly recommend this tension rod.

Looks really nice and works great. The screws that you can see in the picture are fake. The base plate on each side comes apart and has screw holes to which you can then physically attach to the wall. You then simply twist the rod to sit in the plates and you're done.

The shower curtain rod was easy to install and the included drywall anchors were useful. The rod feels sturdy and doesn't wobble or flop, and the telescoping part locks firmly. However, the two end pieces are plastic, painted to look like metal. The screw heads are fake too.

Someone was always knocking the old style shower curtain down. The spring style lighter weight rod just never fit quite right. Problem solved! This rod is great quality, looks fantastic and best of all will never fall down again. Installation was easy. There are two 'ends' that screw into the wall, one on each side. The rod is a spring rod but because of the new ends will stay securely in place.

I thought the screw mounted flange of this would be a steel flange like other industrial pipe rods. It is actually a tension bar and a lightweight end piece that's can be screwed in place. Then the tension rod simply sits over the mounted end pieces. We'll see if it's sturdy enough to hold blackout curtains.
